Did somebody say twelve monitors?

I like to imagine that rig was set up by the same guy who put his overclocked computer in a bathtub filled with glycerin, using refrigerator coils to cool it.

It's twelve rigs. The idea is that it's an add-on to Microsoft Flight Simulator that lets you share the session across a network, with each computer configured to display the view at a different angle.

Because Flight Simulator nerds are the only people that would spend that much money to play the game better.

I just love that he added a seatbelt to his chair.
That is the cutest, dorkiest thing.

You might think you're cool, but you're not twelve monitors cool.

It's like Ozymandias' control room

but gay!

I am instantly reminded of when Major Kusanagi goes the hacker Krolden's apartment for info (in the Manga).

Not a seatbelt, it's holding down the yoke.

OK, I give. What does it say in the heart? I see words but cannot read them.

So I guess he only secretly loathes certain kinds of partial colorblindness?  I only ask because I have mild partial color blindness of a type that I forget, but that looks perfectly readable to me.

...or is it not really colorblindness fuckery?  I don't know!

It's not actually luminance-matched, so even RG color-blind people can read it.

I'm sure Scott Pilgrim the character/series is great and all, but this is why the movie is going to be horrible. This is all I'm going to see.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Yeah, that's been making the round on crackbook.

It's interesting to see as a series how accurate carnivale was.

Best quality early (30's-40's) colour photos I've seen so far

I can't tell if it's the candid nature of the shots, the cultural aesthetic, or whether people really were that ugly back then.

Heh.

People have been 'that ugly' for about umpteen-thousand years.

It's us who live in the freakish bizarro-world full of shiny golden people.

Okay, okay. I guess maybe it's just that I haven't seen that many ugly people together in one sitting. I mean usually there's at least one or two people easy on the eyes. But then, it's probably one of those deals where they're exposing some kinda hard truth about the times they were living in or other equally bourgeois issues.
