It made me smile even if it is fake.
Wish I was better at spotting 'shop artifacts though.

Those... Those are spaces to write the code, if you're an idiot, right?

Or maybe, it's like a command unit, kept in the interior of the house, and not obviously by a door?

Or, maybe, just maybe, the manufacturer printed out the codes and account numbers on pieces of translucent sticky-film that could be easily removed and destroyed.

Quote
In a U.S. courtroom that year, the Sony Betamax was under fire for what was already being called time-shifting – taping a TV program to watch at a later time. One person who took the stand in defence of time-shifting, surprisingly, was childhood icon Mister Rogers.

At the time, Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood was watched by some 3-million families a day. Should those viewers be allowed to make copies of Neighbourhood, and other shows, on their new videotape recorders, he was asked?

Mister Rogers’ answer was an emphatic, yes.

“I have always felt that with the advent of all of this new technology that allows people to tape the Neighbourhood off-the-air ... that they then become much more active in the programming of their family’s television life,” he told the court.

“Very frankly, I am opposed to people being programmed by others. My whole approach in broadcasting has always been ‘You are an important person just the way you are. You can make healthy decisions,’ ” Fred Rogers told the court.

That was supposed to go in the quotes thread. :d'oh:

It was from a new article on Canadian copyright law, the rest of which was bland and mostly uninteresting.

I bet it's hard to fight a grizzly with your bare hands when your giant clanging brass balls are weighing you down the whole time.

Thank you for prompting me to re-read that, I somehow thought you were talking about "translucent opaque sticky-film" like you have on XBLA point cards or scratch-off lottery cards.

Alternately you could read my outrage as me being upset at the internet for trying to make a big deal of something that made a lick of sense, but that would be dishonest.
