I'm not sure if there is a label for worship of the Norse pantheon for me.

Maybe just "Norse paganism"?

Asatru, as used by people who call themselves Asatru these days, is Norse paganism plus a lot of white supremacy.  Probably best not to associate oneself with that.

Doesn't Odin now like a dozen charms for taking women?

I seem to recall something about that out of American Gods, which means it may or may not be a real thing about the All-Father.  Odin was a bit less likely to hit on anything with a vagina, though.

Norse mythology was refreshingly short on demigods.  Usually Norse heroes pulled off ridiculous feats of strength and physical impossibility by just being sweaty and awesome, they didn't need to be a Son of God or anything.  Actually it seems most of them just claim ancestry from other famous Norse heroes, creating kind of a dynasty of supposed sons-of.  It says a lot about the vikings, really.  They didn't consider being a son of a god to be quite as impressive as being the son of another, really good viking.

Such things can be construed to be at least partly a representation of how a culture thought heredity worked. Contrast with Gilgamesh, who was two-thirds god. Somehow.

Obviously god's blood is stronger and takes up more "stuff".

Also, if I weren't so sure that there's no X such that 2^Y=X=3*Z we could just find the X that satisfies both of those requirements (X,Y,Z all members integers, obvs.) You're not dicking around in logic 101 anymore Classic. Shut up.

Also applicable? Incest.

Here is Deity, Mortal, and demigod and their pairings across two generations.

                           dxD=>Gilgamesh.

That would be 50%, though. And at any rate, as long as you have two parents each generation, your ethnicity will be expressible only in sums of powers of two. The Babylonians did not understand heredity, and with this in mind, the likeliest explanation is that
two gods had sex with his mother on the night he was conceived
.

How do you figure it's only 50%? All we have to do is make sure that 2/3rds of Gilgamesh's direct parents are pure-blooded Gods. That's how blood "mixes" don'cha'no?

You get 50% of your genes from each parent. If some incest went on upstream, the repeated parent counts twice, not once.

After looking into it, most definately not. Way too skeevy. I just want a nice way to say I pick my deities based upon results.
