The interview seems to indicate it's not an animation? Though that's really not clear - they don't explicitly state it one way or another. The first commercial the interviews refer to IS an animation though, so who knows?

If they did in fact use a stand-in who did that stuff, he's damn good.

Of course, none of that answers the question of the original video posted by Def.

It's a very similar commercial (a follow-up, in fact) for the same company and presumably made by the same ad agency, so one might be able to hazard a guess that the second one is faked also....

Obviously, because these were fakers, the real Bruce Lee would have been doing shit that was even more insane and awesome.

Remember when I was talking about my apartment and said "it's in a beautiful downtown neighborhood that's somehow a quiet middle-class enclave in a relatively rowdy low-income area"? Well, turns out it's actually "in a beautiful downtown neighborhood that's somehow a relatively quiet middle-class enclave in a relatively rowdy low-income area". I had to downgrade it this morning because some guy got shot five times on my doorstep.

So, that's new.

Not sure whose job it is to clean up.

EDIT: Not that I'd mess with a crime scene of course, I'm not that dumb.

It's alright, I have a back door. :perfect:

The guy lived, actually, which makes me wonder if I've been in the same team as the gunman in an online FPS at some point. Not a lot of angles he could have fired from, and none of them are much further than point blank. The victim was quite vocal about being alive too; the paramedics had to restrain him to get him into a stretcher. I was tempted to believe he was the sort of guy to deserve whatever he got, but the police who showed up clearly had to deal with him before, and they surmised he was off his medication, which would explain why he was vigorously fighting the people who were trying to save his life. He's probably one of my neighbors from the loony bin next door. Shame.

Heck, the shooter didn't even run away. He almost semed to have an apologetic "wait, did I shoot a retard" demeanor, and was carted off posthaste. He must have been a local because he was only wearing boxers and a handgun.

So who the fuck knows what really happened there.

I'm guessing one of the tweakers tried to get into a second amendment nut's house.

I'm also imagining Zed tripping over the body on the way out the front door and an announcer saying "It's the Dick van Dyke Show!"

While that has some artwork I've never seen before, it doesn't seem to have the magic that the PSX opening cinematic does.  I liken it to Chrono Trigger, whose opening cinematic uses the in-game assets (arranged and having goofy filters applied to them inside an FMV, true) to tell the back story of the region.  Just off the top of my head, I can recall an old battle involving Maximillian, the sparking of the rebellion by flashing in to a combat scene with Flik, Humphrey, and Odessa, and Leknaat foreseeing Tir McDohl in the castle at Lake Toran.  It also hints at the weird relationship that Barbarossa and Windy have.

Suikoden 2 sez no.  The bearers of the Bright Shield and Black Sword runes are destined to fight.  FOREVER.

I'll agree.  It's interesting, though.

Suikoden 2 sez no.  The bearers of the Bright Shield and Black Sword runes are destined to fight.  FOREVER.

...wait.  Doesn't the standard ending have Hero taking both runes, and the good ending have him and Jowy (and Nanami) heading off into the sunset?

Standard ending i am pretty sure is, nanami dies, hero and jowy don't meet up again.

Good ending is, hero and jowy meet up at the waterfall from the start of the game, but instead of dueling to the death as the runes demand, they decide they can't possibly continue to fight one another, and the two runes join into their true form, the rune of beginnings, and it flies off into space (?), and they go off to meet up with nanami and have adventures forever.

There's one in-between those where Nanami still dies, Hero and Jowy meet one last time, Jowy dies, runes join, Hero goes back to the castle and it goes the same as the basic ending from there.

Suikoden 2 sez no.  The bearers of the Bright Shield and Black Sword runes are destined to fight.  FOREVER.

Suikoden 3 sez... also no. You can bear your True Rune and do what it wants, or you can die trying to buck authority.

Remember this?

I got beat up in a bar by a drunk girl.
While my friends egged her on.
To the point I almost blacked out.

Well, apparently I did black out for a little bit. Because apparently it goes on a little longer than that and a lemon, some spitting, and lots of cursing were involved. None of that I remember.

I don't really want to know where the lemon entered into things.
