So I'm asking my regular DnD group about all the things I did as a DM that aggravated them. Apparently they all had to do with chests.
I talked about the chest that was the treasure in #ff, but I forgot about the magically sealed chest that was a mimic that killed two party members. And the chest that had a curse on it saying that whoever stole the items inside would be forever blind. And I made one guy quit the group with a chest that contained a badger that bit his ear off. But to be fair, he had a lot of bad rolls.

:nyoro~n:

There was also the door that ate people. It took three party members to figure out to use the other door. I'm not saying that I'm innocent, but these guys need to learn from past mistakes looking back on it.

You need to try the thing with the magic object that disintegrates people that pick it up

and it has "Please pick me up" written on it

Hehehe. The worst was my TPK dungeon. It was literally labeled "TPK DUNGEON. The sign outside said so. If they would have made it through the first room, the goblet at the end of the dungeon, the item they had to return slowly destroyed the person holding it. Body and soul. There was a big switcheroo thing and unless they cheated and looked at my notes, they would have taken several trips into the dungeon.
I really wish they would have survived the whole thing. It would have been GLORIOUS. But nope. No one ever made it pass the first room.

A friend was telling me of some magical body parts that gave a lot of power to the wielder if he was willing to chop off his own and sew the magic one in its place.

Some DM superhero told his players that there was a magic head. They found it, and it took 3 deaths and the DM to burst out laughing before they realized that it was just a disembodied skull.

The best part of that story was that they all had themselves decapitated to try it, with the last having his trained monkey do the job, after it failed on everyone else, even though the Head of Vecna had both eyes intact and they must have known that there was already a separate Eye of Vecna.

Today I bought a bag of bugles because I saw them at the 99 cent store

Apparently the makers of Bugles just don't care anymore because all of them are like flat and the opening are now too small and flat to put a finger in. I cannot make fingerclaws with anything in this bag.

I mean fuck I might as well have bought Fritos

yes I know this is a first world problem

don't tell me you never did that with bugles

Maybe your fingers are just fat from eating too many bugles

"Your Highness, here's the general motivation for your character: you're trapped thousands of light-years from your kingdom on a starship commanded by a psychotic who, since you are a nameless lieutenant, will probably try to get you killed before the episode is over.  I want you to talk to this soulless doll of a man for a moment, which we will fudge out in editing."

Edit: I just watched the scene in question, and it's literally the prince/king staring at Wang for a moment, Neelix barges in to the corridor they're standing in.  Harry and Neelix start walking toward the camera while he leaves, and Harry says "See you later." He nods and walks out of camera.

For serious though, Good on him for living his dream.

There are some other good cameos. The first black woman in space once appeared as a transporter operator in TNG. Iggy Pop appeared in DS9 as a Vorta.

It came to my attention tonight that two of the three people I hang out with the most have not only never seen the Iron Giant, but have never seen Ghostbusters II. One hadn't seen most of the first. They weren't sure if they've seen the Back to the Future films. Naturally, I immediatley left and told the girls we would not be friends anymore.
So I will be taking applications for friends. I figured I should advertise here first so we can bond over how terrible these people are.

You could, y'know, show them the movies.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.
