I don't think plate tectonics can move Australia up there.

Final Fantasy lied to you.  Real planets do not wrap north-south.

I thought about pointing out that I understood this was a far-beyond-improbable configuration for plate tectonics to ever produce, but decided it would've hurt the joke.

Please allow Thad the practice of his art; it's like watching a sunset, or a young woman bloom.

When things go wrong in my life, all I need to do is remember that somewhere, at that very moment, Thad is probably being snarky at someone, and suddenly it feels like the universe is harmony.

But the universe wraps north-south, because it's a toroid.

I apparently have the power to summon beautiful women by saying, "Sushi." I'm a little upset it's taken me this long to find that out.

The name of the pokemon Elgyem is a pronunciation of the acronym "LGM", meaning "Little Green Men", referring to aliens. It's a large-headed grey humanoid described in the Pokemon White pokedex as first encountered in the desert fifty years ago.

The name of its evolved form, Beheeyem, is "BEM", sci-fi acronym for "Bug-Eyed Monster", another sort of alien.

The first pulsar discovered in 1967 was originally named LGM-1, on the idea that the regularly pulsed radio emission might be a broadcast by extraterrestrials.

My first thought was "wait, THE Orly Taitz?"

And then I came to my senses.

My manager is not only a firm believer of aliens conspiring with the government and most assassination being conspiracies, but that 9/11 was faked using holograms, secret bases on the moon are hid with giant mirrors, and we are probably in the Matrix.

He actually just bought a $800 telescope so he can look at the moon and find traces of the moon base.

You know, you'd probably be surprised at the number of people who believe one batshit crazy theory or another (and that's not even a dig at religion). God knows I trip over one every time I turn around.

I suppose I can't blame them. The naked truth of an endless sea of monkeys all screeching and flailing their arms at one another is actually much crazier, in a way.

TODAY I LEARNED THAT COP CARS COULD REAR-END NORMAL CARS

AND THAT COPS HAVE TO FILL OUT A METRIC TON OF PAPERWORK WHEN THAT HAPPENS

AND THAT YOU WILL SPEND ALL THAT TIME WHILE THEY FILL OUT THAT PAPERWORK STANDING IN THE SUN.

OH, IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THAT I WAS WEARING A SUIT OF FAKE MUSCLES AND PRETENDING TO BE THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA.

AND BEFORE THAT I SAW A BAND PLAY ONSTAGE DRESSED AS STAR WARS.

BEEN KIND OF A WEIRD WEEKEND.

Too bad ya didn't learn about the Caps Lock key. That's probably far too ordinary.

BEAT already knows about the Caps Lock, like Mario already knows about timed hits.

Gamespite has been down since early yesterday.  Expect to see refugees.
