Well, last night, but ...

I learned that Sex House exists.  And is the absolute best thing.

yeeeeeeeeeep. The Onion has officially gotten better than real T.V. at this point between the first two episodes of that (not that the rest are bad by any means) and Horrifying Planet.

Tabletop wargaming was actually pretty popular in Russia during the Soviet era. However there were basically no miniatures manufacturers, so people made their own. Out of Plasticine.

One guy, Sergey Kiselev, was the unmatched master of this odd hobby

Too bad those little packets are being replaced by larger packets that also double as little cups for you to dip your fries in.

That there is a prequel/reboot of the Weekend at Bernie's franchise.

Called "Bernie".

Starring Jack Black as Bernie.

With a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, I can almost guarantee that watching it and PRETENDING it is a prequel to Weekend at Bernie's will make it EVEN BETTER.

...

...I bet that's true of a lot of movies, actually.

So I'm an idiot and thought that this post:
So you read today's Our Valued Customers?
Was a new one. But it's OK because it's a link to a webcomic, and I found another one. From it I remembered that most fairy tales aren't already dark and sexed-up as fuck.

Quote
In late January, 1989, Kenneth Lamar Noid entered the Domino’s Pizza nearest his home, produced a handgun, and held the restaurant’s two employees hostage for over five hours. His demands were a freshly made pizza, $100,000, a helicopter, and a copy of the Illuminati-themed 1985 novel The Widow’s Son.

Can't imagine why somebody mentally ill would be interested in a Robert Anton Wilson book about elaborate conspiracy theories tied to numerology.

I bet he finished the first book and couldn't find the second one anywhere.  Must have REALLY bothered him that RAW never finished the series.

In England, MPs (members of Parliament) are not in fact allowed to resign. Period. This dates back to the 17th century and earlier when MPs were sometimes appointed against their will (a long, entirely separate story).

The loophole is that any Member of Parliament "accepting an office of profit under the Crown" must give up his or her seat, so if an MP accepts service to the Crown, they have effectively resigned. In order to allow MPs to resign, two old Royal Appointments are kept open even though they have not actually had any powers or duties in hundreds of years. They are The office of Crown Steward and Bailiff of the three Chiltern Hundreds of Stoke, Desborough and Burnham and Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead.

This whole process is incredibly British.
