I learned that my well thought out and organized story based on LoZ: Link's Awakening was doomed from the start and my players resent me ever being in charge of their characters.

But they still want to play. With the same characters. And me as the DM. They just want me to get rid of the plot. And make it a generic hack 'n' slash RPG. So guess what I am doing!

:perfect:
I am defeated. :despair:

I also had the terrible self-realization that the only solution I really want to try in any AI class is to throw more processing power at that NP problem.

Quote from: The Arabian Nights, Children's Classics edition, pg. 14-15
The merchant took up a stick, went to his wife, and belaboured her so soundly, that she cried out, Enough, husband, enough; forbear and I will never ask the question more.

Quote from: The Arabian Nights, Children's Classics edition, pg. 187-188
The cunning Jew took the dish, examined it,and as soon as he found that it was good silver, asked Aladdin at how much he valued it. Aladdin, who knew not its value, and never had been used to such traffic, told him he would trust to his judgement and honour. The Jew was somewhat confounded at this plain dealing; and doubting whether Aladdin understood the material or the full value of what he offered to sell, took a piece of gold out of his purse and gave it to him, though it was but the sixtieth part of the worth of the plate.

It's important to teach your kids about other cultures.

I learned that that's a correct use of the word "belaboured."

2 1/2 hours per week is just not enough time to discuss each tale we read for the Canterbury Tales class I'm in.

Also, I think I must come off a hell of a lot harsher than I actually am online (this isn't a new realization, but I often forget).  I think it must be all the swearing smooshed into my sentences.

I learned that while people don't appreciate a story in my story heavy LoZ:Link's Awakening RPG, they out right DEMAND a heavy story for my TF2/WH40k hybrid RPG

TF2/WH40k hybrid RPG

Wait. WHAT.

Well I wanted to make a Space RPG based on my RPG system. I am quite familiar with 40k and felt that TF2 stuff would lend itself well to a RPG about Space Smugglers and fighting galactic armies. It works well on paper.

I know you're new Lottel, so learn here that when Norondor supports something, you get the hell away from it as fast as you can.

Despite carrying an odor not unlike Satan's own asshole, smoked herring is almost completely inoffensive to the tongue and performs adequately in a sandwich.
