Ted, your girlfriend is going to be kidnapped.  And you are going to have to fistfight your way to saving her.  Start training.

Not only is Chuck Berry still alive...

Quote
Currently, Berry usually performs one Wednesday each month at Blueberry Hill, a restaurant and bar located in the Delmar Loop neighborhood in St. Louis.

HOLY SHIT.

I never thought I'd say this, but I want to be in St. Louis RIGHT NOW.

Who?

Remember that scene where Marty McFly plays "Johnny B. Goode" in Back to the Future?

Chuck Berry was the guy the bandleader called on the phone.

Well, he rides a Harley and runs a factory that makes rifle ammunition, so I'm gonna have to go with 'no'.

My Food Safety & Sanitation course has begun interfering with meals.

When I sat down to my lunch from the Canyon.mid Cafe, I looked at my teriyaki chicken and thought "If this is underdone, there's a serious risk of salmonella."

"And if this fried rice has been sitting out, that's bacillus cereus business." (Yes, if R^2 makes a pun and there's no one around to hear it, it's still bad.)

"...and this eggroll clearly wasn't hot-held. I wonder if it was fried or..." *chew* "microwaved fewer than four hours ago."

Maybe I should just stop eating there, but I imagine it's something that will be at the back of my mind no matter where I am.

For people who are too lazy to put down two exclamation marks when they ask a question with emphasis?!

That looks too fiddly to worry with anyway.

"So you see," said Thad, "we need your help."

"Aren't you the guy who punched me in the face a couple of months ago?" asked Bill Gates.

"Yeah," said Thad.  "Because of DriveSpace."

"Oh," said Bill Gates.  "Yeah, fair enough."

Then, suddenly, there was a loud "ZZT" sound and his body convulsed.  "I mean, WHAT?!" he interrobanged.  "DriveSpace is the single greatest accomplishment in the history of man!  Like all Microsoft products!"

I have seen something I'm not sure how to describe.

I was riding on the bus and I saw someone's graffiti scratched into the seat back. It read "Kate <3's Brianne". This wouldn't have been unusual, except it was written exactly as I just described.

not like this

but like this

It bothered me in a way I'm not sure I can articulate.

It wasn't written on an asian woman's chest? Horrible!

Actually, seeing an ascii heart drawn / written isn't that uncommon. What you should be really concerned about is that there are some cute, nerdy lesbians nearby.

I find that they're only useful for reading conservative blogs on the bus.  The funnier, the better.

I've taken to throwing .html e-books on some webspace, pointing my G1's browser at it, and then I have reading material if I'm waiting for something.

Also, if I need to look something up.  IMDB an actor while watching a movie, or such.
