That Peter Cushing was a big tabletop miniatures wargaming nerd

I picture him holding a general in one hand and a scout in the other and going "Retreat? Now? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances!"

I wouldn't kick her out of bed but that photo makes her belly look like a pupa trying to emerge.

If I weren't still in the process of getting over having sympathy for you, I would throttle you for doing this!

So uh... Yeah. Apparently I'm getting a growth spurt. Which for most people is a good thing.
But with my chest problems it's... uh. Not that great.  Best case scenario? It'll be a random element that will affect my heart in a unpredictable way.  Worst case? My already concave chest will push inward farther and touch my spine, killing me.  So.. I guess that means: best case is possible heart surgery and worst is terrible surgery that will take years to make it so I'm somewhat normal.

This doesn't go in shit days for one reason:  It also means I'll get taller! Which is pretty neat.

I- umm, how old are you?
I kind of assume that for everyone on the boards growth spurts were a "thing that happened" not "something which may yet occur".

Nobody ever believe how young I am, either online or in real life. Lobst almost didn't believe me today when I told her I'm only nineteen.

You can still get growth spurts in your twenties.

I like how we're all awestruck about how our newer members are around the same age we were when we started coming here.

After wondering for like a decade, I finally discovered the answer to an odd mystery: Why do some license plates in Ontario appear to be custom plates, with a string of gibberish that starts with 'VE3'? Today I learned that these plates can be purchased by amateur radio operators, for a small fee (much lower than the regular custom plate fee) to display a radio callsign.

I'd been wondering about that one for years.

Pokemon was originally going to end cool in the anime and then they went ahead and cashed in instead of being decent about it :(
I feel ripped off because it would've been far better than any lame crap going on and Misty and Ash woulda had a kid and he would've become the pokemon champion >:O

Myutsu(Mewtwo) no Gyakushuu/MewtwoVSMew Original movie trailer.

Just unfair.  The first movie would have ended the fucking thing.

So basically as a Pokemon fan you wish the series had ended 1/12+ of the way through its run.

It really would have been much nicer if they had concluded something, they could have kept going with a different character even, there's no shortage of those in the pokemon games. As it stands you can say it became a monster of the week show.
