You know, in this age of Internet TV and watching only the shows you want to, it IS easy to forget the joy of flipping through stations and running across something you had no idea was on.

My girlfriend discovered the other night that there's a local broadcast station that runs an hour of She-Ra every night at 11PM.

On closer inspection, it turns out it's preceded by an hour of He-Man (and followed by an hour each of BraveStarr and the gorilla-based version of Ghostbusters, which I assume must have been part of a package deal).

Also most of the commercials are for LifeLock.

That Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC was once about to commit suicide, but heard a Sarah McLaughlin song and decided not to after all (the song was Angel, which is actually a very good song).

Too bad the article didn't mention the time Stan Rogers' The Mary-Ellen Carter saved a drowning sailor in near-freezing waters.

Ayn Rand was a parasite

Not only a parasite, but was a meth abuser. Rock on, Objectivism!

I want to be able to share that with about a million people, but is there an actual source for that info besides a random quote on BoingBoing?

Schadenfreude can sure be fun, but it's not so fun when the event you're celebrating can be dismissed without even bothering to engage a second neuron.

...I don't think doing drugs is contradictory to Objectivism, though.

Honestly, i'll take anything that discredits Ayn Rand, and her being a meth addict welfare queen is pretty goddamn good.

At the bottom of the Boing Boing article is a link to the Huffington Post article it comes from
