Oh, cool. Bondage gear. Anyway, I grab the key, and check the room for secrets.

Are any of the fuses long enough so that it would allow for about 15 seconds of burn? Enough to GTFO and clear if I fully expected the whole thing to explode?

Defenestration V: Easily. The fuses are set for a full minute each, and there are four of them. Marks along the fuse cords show how to cut them to change the time. You also find a flint and steel set inside the waterproof leather pouch.

Exits: W.

Items: 22 arrows, a snake pendant, a 10-foot pole, a gold rifle loaded with silver ammo.

I cut a fuse to get as close to 15 seconds as I can, and load the cannon. I use the flint and steel to light the cannon and run into the Gypsy room and wait for the boom.

A resounding BOOM is heard throughout the labyrinth.

--------

Defenestration V: Debris fall from the ceiling and a cloud of dust billows past the door. Something happened, to be sure. The fortune teller cackles.

Exits: S.

Items: 22 arrows, a snake pendant, a 10-foot pole, a gold rifle loaded with silver ammo.

Defenestration V: The southern wall of this room has been blown out. The right side of the cannon (when viewed from behind) has also been blown out. Apparently the cannon was structurally unsound, and a large chunk of the barrel has flown free and blown a man-sized hole in the wall, creating an exit S.

Through that hole you see a room with one exit E. There is a circular hole in the floor five feet in diameter. Next to the hole, set into the rock, is a two-inch-wide bar sticking straight up approximately seven inches from the floor.

Exits: W and S.

Items: 22 arrows, a snake pendant, a 10-foot pole, a gold rifle loaded with silver ammo.

I head south and inspect this hole and bar.

Defenestration V: You walk into the room and peer into the hole.

The hole is pitch black and muffles sound: It seems deep. You look closer at the bar.

The bar is two inches thick and seven inches high. It doesn't budge, and is either very long or cemented or glued in place.

Through the exit to the east you can see a giant mirror. Your reflection in the mirror shows only your bones, and floating inside your ribcage is a flat black board or slab of some kind. The slab is black with white squares and a red line drawn upon it. You're too far away to make out the image clearly. That room has two exits; one to the N and one to the S.

There is a tiny pile of fist-sized stones in front of the N exit of this room.

Exits: E and N.

Items: 22 arrows, a snake pendant, a 10-foot pole, a gold rifle loaded with silver ammo.

I drop an arrow into the hole and count until I hear it hitting the ground. Afterwards, I go east and take a look at the next room.

Defenestration V: After some complex mathematical computation involving arrow wind resistance and velocity, you determine that the hole is 30 feet deep.

Up close, you can see that the mirror is reflecting the illusion that you are merely a skeleton. Imbedded in your ribcage is a slab of dark stone with white and red patterns drawn upon it. It looks like this:

The room to the N contains a plate full of cheese. A cockroach nibbles quietly on a piece of oily swiss.

The room to the S glistens with spiderwebbing. These webs are fresh. There is a man-sized tunnel through the webbing leading to another exit to the W.

Exits: N, S and W.

Items: 22 arrows, a snake pendant, a 10-foot pole, a gold rifle loaded with silver ammo.

SoraCross II: You bang your face into the W wall of the room.

Suddenly, a five-foot tall chicken appears in the doorway. She's facing N and looking at you through her monocular left eye, a sneer evident on her beak.

"Hello, stupid."

She bum-rushes you, her wings flapping wildly. Pick a number between 1 and 3.

Exits: E.

Items: A 10-foot pole, 1 gold coin, a tiny iron key.

Are you sure about this?
