Defenestration VI: The giant chef makes no move to follow you, but his eyes watch you all the way through the door.

In the next room you spot several traps. They are either deactivated or broken, because despite stepping on several dozen moving floorboards and trip wires you remain unharmed. A calendar in one corner has all the even-numbered days marked in red. There is an exit set diagonally across the NE corner, and through it you can see a washroom with bags of laundry bundled everywhere. There is an exit on the NE side of that room.

Exits: NE and W.

Items: A 10-foot pole, 1 gold coin, a snake amulet, an 8-foot bedpost.

Defenestration VI: All the even-numbered days in the calendar are marked red. You go NE into the washroom. Through the NE exit of the washroom you see a room full of mops, brooms, buckets and a dozen wooden 10-foot ladders.

The laundry sacks are all full of clean clothing.

A ghost zooms into the room and steals your coin.

"Har, har. Wot's it gonna do, cry 'bout it?"

The ghost zooms through the W wall.

Exits: NE and SW.

Items: A 10-foot pole, a snake amulet, an 8-foot bedpost.

Defenestration VI: You enter the room of buckets and mops and ladders. There's nothing else of note here. You do notice some mouse holes.

Exits: SW.

Items: A 10-foot pole, a snake amulet, an 8-foot bedpost.

I look into the mouse holes. If nothing is immediately apparent, I prod my pole into them

Defenestration VI: The chef does nothing alarming aside from standing very still and watching you closely.

You are now in a bathroom. There is a simple bench with a hole cut in the center, and three seashells lying nearby. On the other side of the room is a washstand; the basin is full of murky water.

A ghost zooms through the room and steals your 8-foot bedpost.

"Har har. Gotch'er iddy post!"

Its gone before you can react.

Exits: S.

Items: A 10-foot pole, a snake pendant.

I put one end of my pole into the water and wiggle it around to see if there's anything in the murky water without endangering my hands.

Also, I inspect the seashells.

Defenestration VI: The water slooshes about in an unmysterious way. The three seashells appear to be equally mundane.

Exits: S.

Items: A smelly 10-foot pole, a snake amulet.

I go South, West, South, South, East, East, East (I give the answer 42 no matter what they ask), North, East, and South. I climb down the rope and see if I'm still alive.

Defenestration VI: As you pass the chef a ghost whizzes by and steals your snake amulet.

"Oy, wot's this then? Its'a widdle snakey-wakey sparkle! An' it's moyn now, har har!"

You continue on and reach the clown room.

Dee and Carl wave as you enter. They're engrossed in a game of backgammon.

You enter the cannon room and go S into the pit room.

You drop down the hole and climb quickly down the rope. At the bottom there is a thin layer of mud on rock, as well as the mouth of a tunnel. Inside the tunnel you can't see your hand in front of your face. The tunnel is about six feet high and four feet wide and extends for an unknown distance.

Exits: U and T (tunnel).

Items: A 10-foot pole.

Defenestration VI: You reach the far end of the tunnel after many light-occluding twists and turns. Roughly ten feet above you is another hole. The ceiling above is lit by the light of many candles. You can hear a faint rustling sound coming from above. The walls of the vertical shaft are slippery with wet mud.

Exits: T (a tunnel leading roughly SE).

Items: A 10-foot pole.

I call to see if there's anything above and see if I can knock anything down with my pole.

Defenestration VI: There is no answer except the whispering rustling of what sounds like a shambling plant. You manage to knock down a clod of dirt, but nothing else.

Exits: T (a tunnel leading roughly SE).

Items: A 10-foot pole.
