There are many actors who I appreciate for the quality of their work, but few that I like because of the flavour of their acting (sort of like the good version of "So-and-so always just plays himself in a movie"). Paul Newman was the person that comes to mind when I think of the few actors I like in that way.

Madelyn Dunham, Barack Obama's grandmother.

He has just signed legislation that will outlaw Cancer forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.

Wasn't his last book about how global warming was a myth perpetrated by the liberal media to frighten the public for some nefarious purpose?

That was the one before the last (State of Fear).  The last one (Next) was about the ramifications of genetic engineering and big corporations owning your DNA.

Bettie Page

 :;_;:

Wow, reading her obituary, her life was pretty crappy all around.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised that she had such a rotten life. Not that I expected her upbringing to be sunshine and lollipops, mind you. It takes an uncommon person to agree to be photographed tied up in their underwear while someone gives them a spanking.

In other news, Van Johnson.

Well, it used to before Bettie Page anyway.

Mark Felt, AKA Deep Throat.

"Patriot" isn't a word I throw around that often.  But the man was a patriot in the truest sense.  He shed light in one of the darkest periods of American history, not for glory or for money or power but because America is a nation of laws and not men.

A nation of laws where everybody fundamentally distrusts the legislators and lawyers.
