The obvious question now is, who is going to be #3?

Rue McClanahan.

In way worse news than anything else on Earth ever at least for anyone in Houston with taste buds, Darawan Charoenrat died.  Not only was his food absolutely unbelievable, but once you got to know him enough that he would do more than grunt noncommittally at you he was kind of an awesome guy.

Also people called him that pretty much because if you weren't ready with your order when he got to your table, he being the only person who would take your order, then he'd leave and wait on every other person in the restaurant before coming back to you.  At least he didn't actually ban you from the restaurant.

Right-wing comment trolls will only bring him up every single time somebody mentions the Southern Strategy for two more years, then.

I just learned that Type O Negative frontman Peter Steele died last August. 48, heart failure. A smart, funny man, by all accounts I'm aware of; apparently he had been cleaning up his act for a while. Were I not sober myself, I would raise a glass of red wine in his name. I owe that band much of my very favorite music.

Ted Stevens

There's a boatload of bad jokes in there, but I don't really feel like making any of them.

At first I thought "oh yeah, he was old", but then I heard it was a plane crash and was like "whoa"
