He failed to beat his alcoholism, gave up, and killed himself.

Oh wow. That's just... He even said "Goodbye."
That's heartwrenching.

Missed this one last week: Jack Goldman, founder of Xerox PARC.

Quote
Goldman's leadership in forming PARC—and his hiring of George Pake to head the center— led to the development of a number of technologies later exploited by Apple, Microsoft and others, including the laser printer. object-oriented programming, Ethernet, the mouse pointing device, and the graphical user interface. While Xerox never effectively capitalized on developments like the Alto PC—the first networked personal computer—PARC's work inspired the development of the Macintosh and the Windows operating systems.

Cheetah.

Probably not.

Evanier had two posts on the subject, the first spending a few paragraphs on the subject (and dropping a name I hadn't heard in years, Paul Castiglia, who used to be editor of the Sonic comic and was quite engaged with the fandom of the day -- Evanier knows EVERYBODY) and the second just linking a Hollywood Reporter article.

Yeah, it struck me as a little odd that Cheetah was 30+ years past the average for a chimp, and even the media seemed to have this tone of 'we wouldn't be posting this fakey fake story if it wasn't such a slow news week'

That's what happens when your ovaries fail. There's an old lady that comes into my store who seems to be working on a 'stache.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

I guess that "cleaned up and away from that nut Bobby Brown" come back isn't going to happen. Man, only 48. She looked like she was in her fifties for years. Not trying to be nasty, it's just sad she burned out like that.

At the time of posting there was no evidence, other then Whitney Died. Nothing besides Whitney has Died. So what's the difference between saying it and posting a link that leads to the same exact phrase.
