Given his professed beliefs I am sure he is overjoyed to be dead, and I congratulate him on making it to heaven.

Yes, I too am glad that he is dead. For him, I mean.

Mike Wallace

The guy had balls.

The difference between him and the raft of current pundits is one of bullshit: Wallace used bluntness to cut through it, while your typical Fox News/Clear Channel pundit uses bluntness to pile on more of it.  Wallace asked potentially-offensive questions to seek out the truth; pundits of today ask potentially-offensive questions because they don't care about the truth and want to support the narrative they've already constructed.

Well, that's why Wallace was a journalist and those other idiots are just pundits.

Gee, some days, I wish I could land a sweet gig spewing nonsense to the tune of millions of dollars.

This is actually a premature posting, but it looks like Levon Helm has very little time left.

Up On Cripple Creek - The Band (The Band 5 of 10)

Amazing drummer, Amazing singer and didn't have a problem doing both at once.

It's like losing an old clock that's been there since you were born.  Suddenly, you miss him a lot.

Dick Clark stood up for a lot of artists early on. He recognised talent, supported talent, and was talented himself. Credit where it's due.

Up On Cripple Creek - The Band (The Band 5 of 10)

Amazing drummer, Amazing singer and didn't have a problem doing both at once.

Best description of Levon Helm I ever heard: "The only drummer who can make you cry."

Seriously, and speaking as someone who can play piano and sing simultaneously, playing a full drum kit while singing is hard as fuck.

Plus The Band is awesome anyway.

Sad about his death, but I certainly am glad his reanimated form went down so quickly.

I heard that every 365 days he is brought back to life, and only a Belmont can defeat him.
