Lou Albano, 76, is now in Hospice care, which is never a good sign.
If he goes I declare everyone to do the mario.

Lou Albano's actually dead.

:;_;: See that?  That is an important part of my childhood crying.

I'm...I'm going to go take one step, and then again.  And then I'm going to go buy those DVDs. :sadpanda:

Quote from CNN's obit

Quote
Albano became a cartoon in 1989, when he was the voice of Mario "Jumpman" Mario for 17 episodes of "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" according to the Internet Movie Database.

That is some hardcore research, Mr. Obituary Writer.

Am I missing something significant about her career, or is it just a slow news day? I mean, she's on the front page of CNN.com, and I'm pretty sure Captain Lou didn't get that kind of treatment.

She's been in actual movies and was the voice of Luann Platter on King of the Hill.  Also she was only 33.  She wasn't a significant actress, but it's still tragic when someone dies young.

J.D. Salinger

In other news, I was shocked to hear he was still alive up to this point.

The most interesting thing about Salinger's life is the reports in multiple obits that he left a vault full of unpublished work.

I'm hoping it's true and we get to see it.  If there's one book in the lot that's half as good as Catcher, that'll be an amazing thing to see.  If, instead, he left merely the ravings of a genius who'd become unhinged, then that would be intriguing itself.  Hell, even if it's a stack of Terminator fanfic, I'd like to see just what the hell he was up to all those years.

Does anyone remember OMC?

I thought not. Anyway, their frontman, Pauly Fuemana, died.

The most interesting thing about Salinger's life

...did somebody put the "death=life" filter back on, or did I actually get those two things confused?

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.
