When Blizzard claims to have sucked 37 dicks, it's important to ask whether or not they were in a row.

Mister Mayor I have made you a shiny new room. It is a luxurious one tile by one tile bedroom with a locking door and a very curious engraving on the one floor tile that is definitely not a trap.

Crit-enhancing talents lost some of their bite, and Judgements of the Wise went from 33% to 15%.

So basically a DPS nerf, and they can run out of mana again.  Oh, also I keep seeing it mentioned that level 80 ret gear has no +int.

Despite seeing it coming from literally the full length of the universe away, Ret Paladins are shocked and amazed that their ability to kill literally any class with any amount of HP, armor and resilience before any single Hammer of Justice goes down....

They just had a taste of being the kings of PVP, and now must suffer the fate of all classes.

Except Warlocks.

I never felt so sad to be a rogue as I have the last few days doing battlegrounds.  What used to be a mighty PVP class is now regarded as a distraction or free kill by most other classes.  A well geared rogue can be killed by an AFK warlock if they'd don't escape.  All most classes have to do to avoid us in combat is walk away, which is major disadvantage.  And if you don't put any points into master of deception, your stealth is just as good as not using it.

I watched a Resto Druid solo Onyxia at level 70, and it brought a tear to my launch druid eye. We've come a long way, baby.

Ret paladins weren't that good in PVP. There's a lot of exaggeration here, and a lot of people leaving out the fact that they're getting rolled by a dude with an S3 mace when they're wearing ALL BLOOS. Sorry, Doom, but pretty much anyone can roll you in pvp with that setup. Blame the game, not the class. Ret had one advantage over warriors in pvp - damage that wasn't affected by armor - and that advantage was taken away. Any nerfs now are, to be honest, appeasement to people whining because the class that used to be a free HK is now capable of competing in the top tier of arena.

Additionally, all the nerfs paladins just got weren't for PVP at all - they were for PVE - because blizzard said, and I quote; "we want mana to remain a factor for this class in pve" - Nevermind that mana isn't a factor for any other DPS class or spec right now, and almost all the major class overhauls in 3.0/wrath towards mana using classes was to keep them from going OOM. Mana gains for retribution have been cut by 60%, and the end result is that ret paladins go from being capable of competing in the top tier of dps, and go back to hitting their heal button all fucking day because there's no rational reason to use them as a DPSer. Additionally, the prot paladin overhaul made them a strength focused tank, but someone at blizzard forgot to give consecrate some kind of attack power coefficient, so now prot struggles to output as much threat as a prot warrior or feral druid, while doing half the dps and having no utility advantage outside of (the now terrible) blessing of kings, which a holy paladin can easily pick up with five points in prot. What about AOE tanking you say? Well, unlimited target swipe and shockwave and huge threat thunderclap have something to say about that, and they actually scale, unlike Consecrate, now that blizzard has decided that paladins shouldn't be spelldamage based anymore.

tl;dr - fuck paladins, I'm rolling a fucking death knight.

Saw what they were doing to paladins and dumped my paladin main fast.

I cringe when a Holydin asks to come heal me, because I've had some pretty geared healers who were terrible. I don't think thats spec though, because a terribly geared paladin actually healed me very well in a karazhan last night.

I don't roll with Prot. paladins for heriocs as Arms either. I pull aggro without doing Bladestorm, in addition to waiting nearly 10 seconds.

I also had a Ret. paladin complain yesterday that he was disgusted that he had to stop and drink *once* in a herioc Shattered halls that were speeding through. Heroic 5-mans arn't indicative of all PvE content, but that seems fairly fine to me considering my old Ret. paladin had to drink every 3 pulls if I spammed consecration, Judgement, Seals, ect.

Except I wasn't wearing all bloos? Not to mention everybody I attempted to heal through these things were definitely wearing full Season sets. Perhaps the fact that I have actually become relatively capable of dealing with ANY class except maybe a smart Resto druid? And all Mister Ret had to do was face roll his way through 3 on 1 fights and he'd regularly win. Lord knows how many BGs(pug on pug) were lost because the Alliance had two ret paladins in the same place at the same time.

I don't want to bust up your pity party broseph but when any "dude with a S3 mace" is routinely going 45 and 2 against a team of similarly geared and coordinated Horde(Pug vs Pug, AB)...

Anecdotal evidence isn't terribly accurate but I think you can start to make an exception when everybody is telling the same story.

Don't get me wrong, this is most likely the beginning of horrible knee-jerk over-nerfing.

But I guess that is what happens when somebody accidentally passes a class Godhood.
