Mentioned earlier about moon walking from group to group
You can strafe while still DPSing and not giving the mobs your back.  Backpedaling will show people that you are not an experienced tank.

Going to the next pack faster isn't always the point. As far as i am concerned the ideal situation is if my party DPSes packs down just before i grab the next one rather than just chaining 2-3 back-to-back and risking an inopportune kick/silence/blind/knockdown that gets me or someone else killed; but then it is not without reason that i am called slowrondor.

What Norondor said. What you suggest Sei is better suited on something like Onyxia. But here's something for trying.
Approaching mobs back-first results in unnecessary damage.  If there's a given pace you're after, you can actually take a moment to stop walking.

I rarely encounter tanks going too slow for me, thanks to the awful mana mechanics on hunters, but if I do feel like the tank is going too slow, I just misdirect the next pull on to them whether they're ready or not.

A) They did and they can't because oh no actual challenging boss fight.

B) Isn't he the first of the limited attempts? Basically they are cowards.

Don't forget that after the Bryntoll and Death's Choice anecdotes, we already know Envy's guild is C) Stupid or Led By Stupids.

Cowards who hate fun. Glass chewing is *the* fun in WoW imo, especially when you have to figure out what's going on. Unfortunately, I haven't been that cutting edge since Naxx 40. :P It always disappointed me that there's a proven strategy that everyone knows for every boss before I will get to it nowadays.

In the spirit of colleagiality, I am going to assist Envy with the formulation of a Putricide strategy!

1) Don't stand in green shit.

Paco, you summed up about 80% of WoW fights right there.  :nyoro~n:

80% of WoW players will still stand in the green shit. And if by some miracle you get them to stop, you still have to teach them and the remaining 20% not to stand in the red shit either.

Upon further consideration, this might be why EQ players looked smart by comparison: no green shit.

Advance reports suggest Unstable Experiment, Putricide's 30% soft enrage mechanic, is totally fucking hilarious.  It's a stacking debuff on the tank that causes the tank to splash aoe damage, necessitating a tank switch before said debuff wipes everyone, but it heals Putricide for like 10% of his health if it wears off.

Right, Putricide only allows 10 attempts per week.  He is also bugged in a fashion such that attempts in 25man are essentially wasted.

The encounter has slimes that can be sucked up by players with abomination buffs.  In 25man, 3 people are supposed to be able to put on the suit; in 10 man, 1 person is supposed to be able to put on the suit.  The game is bugged such that 3 can in 10, and only 1 can in 25.  There may be some other issues, as "bugged as shit" was being thrown around.

EDIT: I guess both are supposed to have one abom.

He's what we classify as a "freebie." That's the highly technical design term. He's there so you can say "At least we got Saurfang." It works, trust me.

Wow.

And Saurfang actually was harder than any other encounter in that wing on 25 (Would tend to put Marrowgar on top in 10s just because of healer Bone Spike v. lol0marks).

I like the conceptual idea of not having every boss down the first night if they're actually tuned.

Seeing a few Putricide kills. Numbers getting tossed around for the Plagueworks Bosses like "all DPS must break 7k to meet enrage timer." Neat.

Also idly curious if rogue-stacking is popular yet, since every damage meter I see has 10k DPS mutilators.

Rotface has no enrage timer.  Festergut is weird in that it utterly destroys ranged DPS through its movement requirements but there is still a minimum number of ranged required for his gimmick mechanic so it's useful to "stack" ranged so healers can stay melee and not get interrupted.

Putricide 25m is... something else.  Festergut is kind of boring; Rotface is really fun.

It was fun while it lasted, but Drain Life no longer procs on a SoV proc or SoV stack refresh. It still procs off of RV application/refresh, Judgement debuff. Essentially a 386.91 DPS nerf for Bryntroll.

hoo hoo!

similar numbers for unholy DKs.
