yay stamina buff for prot~

Also, I wonder if the new Rampage still counts as an enrage effect, because as much as I love Enraged Regeneration I'm not speccing into Enrage for it.

From the latest Tom Chilton interview on the Battlecry site:

quote:

From April until the game shipped, the vast majority of my time was spent working on the design for the auction house, the mail system, and implementing the talent trees for every class. I was the only person available to do that -- our other class designer, Kevin Jordan, was mainly focused on ensuring that all of the classes had spells and abilities up to level 60, and managing the flow of when you'd get which ability. Kevin and I, and Rob Pardo, and Mike Heiberg from the StarCraft team, all worked on that part of the game. It was exciting, but it was weird -- my experience with some of the classes was making a character of that class on an internal server, playing it up to level 10 to get a feel for how the class played, and starting to make 60 levels worth of talents. A lot of my early experience was trying to get familiar with every class.

I gotta say, while that does explain why so many classes were broken at launch, I already knew something like this was the answer, and really, what's a guy to do? He had to balance 27 talent trees by himself.

*Holiday bosses (such as Ahune for the Fire Festival) will now be accessible through the Dungeon Finder.
*Players must use the Dungeon Finder or speak to special holiday NPCs in the world to queue up and access these bosses.
*Upon accepting a queue for any holiday boss, the party will be ported directly to the necessary area for confronting that boss.
*The previous summoning criteria for these bosses have been removed. Players can queue up for and fight each World Event boss as many times as they want for any standard loot that they may drop.
*All rare holiday items (such as The Horseman's Reins) will have a chance of being found in holiday-themed loot troves which will drop once for each player in the party no more than once per day, in the same manner that doing the Random Dungeon daily quest will provide a specific reward the first time it is completed in a day.

Wait wait, is 3.3.3 still on the PTR, or is it out already? I have not been keeping track.

My issue with this is, does this mean they removed the rare drops from the bosses?

So those of us with mount-related brain problems won't have to sit in SFK/SM and rotate alts in for an acid rain of jewelry for an hour every day, but instead only for a few minutes? A single tear rolls down my cheek and joins the already-in-progress stream of a 40 I'm dumping out over a moderately-sized tombstone engraved with the words 'Excessive Wasted Time Due to Holiday RNG'.

It'll take time, but I know that someday the healing will begin.
