I enjoyed reading, but if Wolfy's story resumes, I'll stop keeping up. I understand some might have a desire to continue and see what happens, but to me it'd just feel like cheating.

A new perspective might work if the character already knew all the stuff we did.  Like a military officer or something.

This is, in fact, exactly what I was thinking.

...it just occurred to me what an ironically stupid end it is for Wolfy to get mauled to death by domesticated mutts.

Mm yeah, that would be good.

I don't like the idea of considering this like a video game RPG where you can reload when you fuck up.  This is a freeform tabletop RPG, and never in my geekdom have I seen a GM allow someone to go back in time to save a beloved character from death (unless they have the orb of time fuckery).

If your awesome character dies, you get two things: a kleenex and a blank character sheet.

Perfect
 Of course! How did I miss that!

EDIT:

On second thought, I realize I do have an opinion. We should take a mulligan on this one, if only because I want Friday to have a completed pathway to ending enough that she'd be able willing to compose/compile a complete CYOA story from our perspective.

Assuming we can survive to the end.  Friday made it clear we were extremely lucky to make it where we did, and we very well may end up dead again, and then what?  Another mulligan?

Note: If we do have a mulligan, we should "kill off" all the posters who picked option 1, Guild style.

This is exactly why I was not in favor of a mulligan until I realized it might make Friday more interesting in actually completing this awesome CYOA story.

If we do have a mulligan, we should "kill off" all the posters who picked option 1, Guild style.
Sometimes Det... Sometimes you are spectacular. An astoundingly obnoxious and self-centered plan that would produce an amazing gameplay mechanic. Though, I'd say it needs to be coupled with fixed-period votes and some incentive for players to build consensus. More "effectiveness" for the choice, maybe?

EDIT:
The downside, of course, is that this plan encourages Friday to artificially inflate the options list, players to make no vote, or promises the elimination of a huge swath of players. To get around it, maybe sacrificing a volunteer(s?) might be the best way to handle a mulligan penalty. Who knows though.

I voted for the Mulligan but the more I think about it the more I dislike it, really.

I just really really wanted to learn more about Nicole.

It's like the old "I don't WANT a new puppy I want my old dog" thing.

(edited since I removed vote on my own with TECHNOLOGY (thanks Arc))

 I just want Friday to finish the CYOA. I'd be happy to never read the epilogue. I played and it was fun.

If you'd like to discount one vote from the mulligan column in consideration of this, feel free, I was a bit hasty in my enthusiasm for the story.

There's a "Remove Vote" option above.

All in all, it looks to be running somewhat even.

YOU HAVE TO START A NEW ACCOUNT AND VOTE AGAIN FROM A DIFFERENT TOPIC

Well, you guys were smart, too. I tried to construct the choices so that luck had very little to do with it. It was supposed to be about critical thinking and paying attention to information presented.

That being said, it was pretty inevitable that you'd crash and burn eventually, just due to sheer length.

EDIT: Arc, I take it your quoting of my Opposing Force idea is a vote in that direction? Or... were you thinking of basing your side story along those kind of lines?

I liked basically all of the "open puzzles".

It was also pretty cool how we got rewarded for being fairly bold fairly often. Unfortunately, it got to someone's head a little too fast.
 Oh wait, that was my stupid ass.

Yes and Yes.

My logic also came down on how to quickly supersede much of the common knowledge, and dive right back in.
