Ok, then how about this revelation?

Elder Scrolls I and II character creation is pretty simple from the get-go.
Elder Scrolls III you start by naming yourself on the boat and walking from the dock to an office you finish
Elder Scrolls IV you fight through a dungeon, revealing your character bit-by-bit as you fight.
Fallout 3 you start at birth and finish character creation when you're nineteen.

Elder Scrolls VII will start sometime before the big bang and you'll get to choose your star sign just after the rapture.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I'm not the only one to think of making Kenshiro, especially given the existence of this fine and illustrious group.

As far as I've found, the most important skills in this game are sneak and lockpick.  Especially lockpick.

There's a unique hunting rifle you can get.  At the Republic of Dave, in a safe.
You get in the safe by getting somebody else elected.  Try not to be seen doing it; even though I was told by the new president that it was okay it still was counted as stealing.
I managed with his first wife, your mileage may vary.
I think it maybe be dimly possible to do it legitimately, but the way I managed way I managed was by waiting until old Davey was taking the votes out and stealing the fuck out of all the votes against my chosen candidate.
It's a nice gun, it satiates my nostalgia for the hunting rifle I had due to good experiences in the original game and has the advantage (over the plain hunting rifle) of being actually useful.  Ammo and repair stock is plentiful, too.

It is a good rifle but Lincoln's Repeater is by far superior. I won't even say where you find it since chances are you will just playing normally anyways.

Ah yes, I considered doing that to be the pinnacle Fist moment for me. There were no survivors.

I've been meaning to pick it up, but I keep getting sidetracked.  I'm also using The Terrible Shotgun because, you know, Deathclaws.  Ol' Painless suffices for sniping Super Mutant Masters, sure, but it just won't take down Deathclaws quickly enough.
I really ought to just go and get the damned repeater and save myself the weight.

The repeater is basically pure death, old-timey log cabin style. I'm pretty sure it's on a par with the plasma rifle, and as a bonus it's much easier to repair; you can feed it hunting rifles which show up all over the damn place, whereas plasma rifles (including A3-21's) only accept other plasma rifles, which are damn rare up until you tick off the enclave, and paying to have a merchant do it is expensive as fuck, though to be fair there isn't much other use for great big heaping piles of caps.

The repeater is better for these reasons:

Literally 0 spread in non-VATS aiming.
Repairs with hunting rifles
You don't have to care about shitty energy weapons skill, of which only A3's plasma rifle is important.

I really liked The Terrible Shotgun for a while, but then I got some points into Big Guns and picked up the pyro perk, and the regular old flamer made it pretty much obsolete in every way.

Kind of disappointed that there aren't any axes in the game. Otherwise I could put on a blastmaster helmet and pretend I'm playing as the TF2 pyro.

You're telling me. I've got this pocket knife and pre-war business suit and no ski mask in sight.

Really? I had the "ladies aren't fugly" retexture packs installed long before I even left the Vault, and she looks Just Fine in my game.

I think I'm using this one.

And it's not like characters don't tend to their appearances in the wasteland - have you seen those mohawks some of the raiders have? Those things don't groom themselves, you know.
