That is the sound of inevitability.

Damnit, that little ticker on CNN keeps going up in the McCain column while the Obama one just sits there.

Obama has 1% lead in VA with 89% reporting.

I see much of northern VA has yet to be counted.  This will be close.

NC is also becoming quite the nailbiter.

An EXACT TIE of 49.7% each, with 80% reporting.

Indiana is another close race (0.3% difference in McCain's favour, 88% of precints reporting).

It's interesting to note that the popular vote has been surprisingly close and that there are very few states where the difference exceeds three or four percent. Fight to the very end indeed.

CNN has Nebraska for McCain with Obama winning by 3%, with 0% precincts reporting?  What the fuck?

Exit polls, I'm guessing.

See, the thing is, even if they are exit polls they're disagreeing with themselves.  The state is colored red, indicating it's for McCain.  But the exit polls they have indicate Obama.  And to add to that, it's one of a few states that are colored rather than just being grayed out.

Also, I meant Utah but put Nebraska for some reason.

I called a 63-35 split in Obama's favor last night.  Let's see if I beat the spread!

high fives all around guys.

Quote from: dailykos
The moment CNN projected the winner, cheers exploded into the air and Democrats, exhausted after an eight year long nightmare, collapsed into each other's arms.  Tears are everywhere here.  The smiles are bright enough to light up the entire city.  And above all else, there is a sense that this moment, this remarkable moment, is long overdue.  Our long national nightmare, as so many have said here tonight, is over.
