So far the most aggravating aspect about the game is that it just won't let you be stealthy. On the few occasions in which you actually get to be behind an enemy without him being aware of your presence, they put an obstacle between him and you that completely prevents you from quietly and quickly taking him out -- like a pane of glass that you have to break through.

So I'm not the only one getting well and fully perforated by armored hulks. At least they seem like hulks when all you're armed with is a useless disarm button.

Big thumbs down for having to attempt the same damned gauntlet like 21 times before realizing you can bypass it all by climbing through a tiny hole in the elevator's ceiling. And let's not forget that train sequence! I haven't dealt with such high-speed death since Battletoads.

it's fun, but has some issues (i enjoy the time trials more due to NO FUCKING COPS)

edit: wait you didn't have to climb out of the elevator?

Mirror's Edge DLC.

When I saw the tagline, "Leave the City Behind", my reaction was "Oh, cool, I get to first-person ninja through trees and shit!"

I really wasn't expecting floating cubes.

Wait, the theme song to Mirror's Edge is also called Still Alive?  Seriously?

Of personal interest to me: Have any 2D games ever captured a parkour, don't-lose-momentum feel?

I can really only think of like, Sonic maybe.

And the 2D Mirror's Edge flash game that's only three levels long.

Actually I think the game was taken from me and used to trade for a Naruto fighting game, even though I was the one that won the scavenger hunt >:{

I wouldn't have been able to play Mirror's Edge, I get motion sick.

Strategy for getting past cops:

1) run up to cop
2) slide, crotchkick
3) punch in helmeted face
4) repeat as necessary until cop lies motionless on the ground, lamenting his continued existence.

It takes a bit of practice (and it helps when there's a barrier between the cop and his comrades to keep them from shooting at you), but intersperse this strategy with the occasional slow-mo gun-grab and you'll be able to take down small squads with style and finesse.

(1060/1250 achievement points on my profile; first in line for the sequel, over here)

I'm a pretty big fan of Mirror's Edge, but it needed no shooting at all.
