S'cool. I'll collect your children's souls as payment now, as we had agreed prior.

Carl, that's sweet, you're trying to say that you love me.
Whoa whoa whoa. Let's not put people on the spot. Who are you taking to that freakin' super bowl!?!?

Listen, pal. It has evil wings, and evil fangs, built around an evil engine running off evil fuel. The Devil himself wishes his fruity little goat legs could be half as devilish.

This game is so win.

Boo for hiding two villagers behind false walls, though.

Hooray for making obsessive-compulsive candle-whipping THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE GAME.

Can't recommend the usage of magical tickets, unless you're petrified.

I use them constantly for the quests. Who the hell wants to walk all the way back from grinding for merman flesh when it's just 100g away? By the time I got down to the nitty-gritty questing they were a godsend.

Seeecrets!

Miser's Ring: +1 to INT and MND for every 300,000 gold in inventory. Caps at +34 INT and MND (9,999,999 gold is the cap).
Fortune Ring: +1 to LCK for every hour of gameplay. Caps at +99 (99 hours).
Justice Ring: +1 to STR for every 3000 kills. Caps at +34 (99,999 kills will max this ring out).

Equip the Gold Ring and activate Inire Pecunia while you have max hearts and every candle will drop blue bags of 500 gold each.

Red/black/blue/white/etc. Drops: Use them immediately. On the main pause menu is a chart showing several pink symbols with numbers next to them in the lower-right corner. Each symbol represents a type of weapon (strike, magic, blunt etc.). The number beside that represents the number of enemies killed by you with that attribute. Some weapons have multiple attributes, so killing an enemy with that weapon yields a point in two categories (or more). Every 1000 points is a 1% boost in damage with that weapon-type. They cap at 300% boost, and the boost carries over to new games which is dumb and ruins the point behind HARD MAX LVL 1. Each of the Drops adds 1000 to this number.

Multiple playthroughs: The main character can pick up up to 50 HEART MAX UP and LIFE MAX UP and MAGIC MAX UP bonuses. It's impossible to get 50 of each in a single playthrough, so I recommend (if you are the kind of sadist I am) not picking up any of them to prep for your HARD MAX LVL 1 run. Or, if you like the idea of beating HARD MAX LVL 1 but aren't looking to gouge out your own eyes in self-loathing, play through the game three or so times on normal to max them out first.

Equip the Gold Ring and activate Inire Pecunia while you have max hearts and every candle will drop blue bags of 500 gold each.

Or equip two Gold Rings, since they're rare chests in Kalidus Channel, and use Inire Pecunia, so every torch will drop a bag of 1000 gold.  Then go to the warp point on the left side of the Tymeo Mountains, double jump and kick down to break the torch immediately outside that to get a bag, and be propelled up into the room above by the kick.  So long as you just keep holding down Down and hammering Jump, you'll be getting a bag every second.

Is there a point to Hard Max level 255 besides maxing out your level on hard mode?

PS I can beat this game in like 30 minutes thanks to dual miser's rings and Nitesco... I think I've beaten it once a day for a week straight... My name is Guild and I have a Castlevania problem.

Time: 84 hours.
Kills: 64k
Gold: 8m (Spent over 7 million gold)
Maxed out all glyph property categories.
One (or two, in the case of rings) of every item.

...I'll keep working on this until I get max kills and max level. Then I think I'll finally declare this one beaten.

I'm assuming level 103 is (an) impressive (waste of time), if SotN is any indication of OoE's leveling curve.

It's not as impressive as SotN. In SotN, experience gained halves every level, which was the reason I could RUN from boss to boss, skipping most enemies, barely survive, and continue thus all the way to the Schmoo, where I'd hunt casaggargasssaamagaien. I think my all-time highest level in SotN was 77, achieved by taping down the shoulder button - with the buttons reconfigured to make that the shield button - and equipping the Medusa shield, then standing in front of spawning zombies and letting the system run for a week or so. Around level 60 Final Knights become worth 1 xp, so it's literally a better idea to level off zombies. And the XP requirement for each level goes up in a parabolic curve.

Of course, after level 35 or so you'd have to be retarded not to be able to beat SotN.

In Ecclesia, experience gained ranges from 1 (bats) to 400ish for really hard enemies (final knights) and you can keep getting 400 xp from them no matter what your level. The XP amount for each level ranges upward, but not all that quickly. I'm pretty sure it won't take more than five or so hours of work to get to level 255.

The most impressive thing in that screencap is the number 65535 next to the seven pink symbols.
