consider this page breaked

I plan to move into LD's town shortly, but I am slightly terrified because she is very protective of the animals in the town and also I'm not allowed to cut any trees and I'm probably also not allowed to plant trees, or flowers, or pull up flowers, or anything along those lines.

And I plan to live with her IRL next year.   :ohshi~:

So, how are you going to do the tutorial thing at the beginning with Tom Nook?

I'll trample all his plants >:D

No, but seriously.  Kazz is just complaining because he already stated he wants to cut ALL the trees down.  I don't think so, fucker.

I'd at least prune the non-fruit bearing trees.

I don't want all my trees to bear fruit.  Because I like free bells and furniture, and also, I guess the last point is moot (I was thinking about acorns).

All I have to say is seriously, Tom Nook and the porcupines better have some actually cool things tomorrow.  I am pretty sick of getting shafted by a rng.  Also, shovel please :T

I got a shovel on my first day AND second day! Golden shovel time!

Speaking of which, I picked up the guide today so I could use it as an item checklist (thanks to Duke's suggestion regarding the AC:WW guide) and it said that a golden shovel needs to sit in the ground for FOUR days now instead of just one.

Oh you bastard :3
I want a guide but I haven't seen them anywhere.

Anyway, I'm excited because I just read that I will be able to get a bridge, which will solve my crappy windy river problem.  My river cuts off parts of my town in the most awkward way possible, I swear.  Nook's is across the river, and then also, the second bridge at the river mouth is fucking awful.  It's going upwards, instead of across, and it makes me fucking crazy.

Also, when you donate 1 million bells (because we're all so fucking rich), you get to choose to have a windmill or a lighthouse.  I am not sure if you can get both, but I read (and maybe misunderstood) that two different people shelling out 1 million bells could get you both.  Also, you can get a fountain.  I dunno where that goes.

Fountain:
You get it when you donate 500,000 bells and throwing an axe into it gets you either the Silver or Golden axe - it's apparently random, and you might not get anything.
Oh, and you can NOT get both a windmill and a lighthouse.

New House Layout:
You can expand your main room twice, as before, and you still get the second floor room, but you no longer get the three additional rooms. Instead, you get a basement and the final payment is only 598,000 bells. I think this was done to get people to change their layouts every month as per the HRA's suggestions, and I guess I'm glad that I don't have to pay Nook an additional 1.7 million bells because that money is needed elsewhere in this game.
Yeah, I think the river is intentionally bad in this game and the bridges are inconvenient, most likely because you have to donate a bunch of money in order to get a new one. On the other hand, McDohl's town is awesome because the museum/town hall/Nook's/Able Sisters places are all in the same spot.

The guide doesn't seem to mention anything about getting pictures from animals, unless it's in some obscure corner of the book I haven't read yet. I still don't know if they are even in the game or not.

I dug up my GOLDEN SHOVEL at 6:00 AM this morning.  Duke, if you're still bereft of shovel, you can have my old shovel.

Yeah, well McDohl called my town awful ;-;

And I hope pictures are back.  And obviously the house isn't going to have side rooms because those were only in AC:WW because you had to fucking share your house with 3 other assholes.  Fuck them.  They were cool, but there was no way I was going to share/design the house with Kazz.  He would intentionally make the house hideous.  I think that's one of the biggest reasons he didn't like WW, although he says it's because they ruined/took out elements of the GC version that he liked.

Also also, fuck you nook, never having shovels or slingshots for sale.  And YES I WANT YOUR OLD SHOVEL, DEAR GOD MCDOHL.

Rosen, does the stock in Gracie's shop ever change clothes/accessory-wise?  I don't want to only ever be able to get like, 7 of her designs.  I always wanted to get that hamburger shirt, or the various other very cute shirts.  I'd love a caterpillar shirt or the watermelon tee.

McDohl: You got your golden shovel after one day? Fuck, the guide is already wrong.

Duke: Gracie's store changes stock every season, so there are four different sets of super expensive furniture and clothes. According to the guide, the Gorgeous furniture and the other current items in there are the Winter set - why is it already considered Winter in the game? - so we'll probably have to wait a few months for the next set... which is the Princess furniture set.

clutch: Sweet, another player! I hope you get whatever fruit we don't have yet so we can get all of them easily.

Today, my Nook's is offering a fishing pole, net, and shovel, if anyone wants them. I'm leaving for class now, though, so I won't be home until 4:30 pm PST.

Speaking of Nook's and his shitty hours, it turns out that Nook n' Go is open from 7 am until 1 am (!), Nookway goes back to 8-10, and then Nookingtons is only fucking open from 9 am until 9 pm. Looks like I'll be changing my time eventually, after all.

What don't you have yet? If it's easy to re-roll a town, maybe I'll keep trying till I get it.

I did always think it strange that the 7/11 Nook-N-Go kept the same hours as the other versions of the store. I'm a little cross that they decided to extend that bit of realism to the other versions of the store.

Speaking of schedules, can you go into the city at any time of day and, if so, is anything open?

Holy mother of god, she has 4 seasons worth of enormously expensive furniture :(
Also, seasonal fashion is funny, cause I thought maybe that's why the stock hadn't changed.  That's a cute, realistic idea.  I love my stupid blue argyle.  It matches my pink fluff hair in a nice sort of way.

Also..............that means if i want that stupid gorgeous bed, I need to somehow get 300k now? D: D: D:

Also also, that blows that Nookingtons is only open til 9.  That's fucking gay.  It almost makes me want to try to somehow keep my store as Nook-N-Go even though that isn't practical or possible.

Clutch, you can go to the city any time you want.  Unfortunately almost everything closes at 10.  The theatre closes at 11.  My favorite part of the city is my morning balloons.

Oh, another question: wtf is up with Kicks?  I have tried everything to get different colored shoes, and they ALWAYS turn out red.  Help?

So far it looks like:

Rosen: Apples
McDohl: Peaches
EmaWii: Oranges
Duke: I don't know Oranges

So we're missing cherries and pears, depending on what Duke has. I've only visited McDohl's town so far, so the only new fruit I've collected is peaches.

I'll GIVE YOU MY SHOVEL.   ::D: ::D: ::D: :want:
Okay, I'll get on when I get out of work at 5:30.

I haven't seen much variance in GracieGrace's selection.

McDohl: You got your golden shovel after one day? Fuck, the guide is already wrong.
Yeah, I buried one last night after you told me about it, and I dug it up at 6:00 this morning, when the game rolled over to it and gave the message "IT'S A NEW DAY!!!" and did its daily upkeep.  I guess it does its upkeep every day at 6:00.  It would make sense, as that's the garbage collection time.

Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.

Hmm.  I'm not sure what Duke has.

Also, how often does REDD change his stock?  He has the same items he had yesterday.  Is his weekly?

Ah, that's why I wasn't concerned about getting stuff from Ema.  And, yeah, I'd guess Redd's weekly.
