Animal Crossing: City Folk
« on: November 16, 2008, 08:35:07 AM »

Okay, let's see here... Hook up this Wii Speak thing...

Download the thing from the Wii channel...

Guess I should get a book, man this is taking a while...

Okay, apparently, the service hasn't been started yet.  Hopefully this will enable the trash talking on Brawl.

Anyway, let's actually play Animal Crossing now!

...Oh wow.  So, Duke had the right idea by getting her stuff set up in the DS game before this game came out.  My town is SO full of weeds...Let's move it over from the DS!

Moving Van...START!

So, I've moved from my old digs at Toran to Highland.  Seeing as there's a lot of fishing to do, I felt that it was appropriate.

My town has peaches!

Alright, I would suggest cross-posting your friend code to the normal repository, but for convenience sake:

Loooove for AC city folk.  My town layout is sorta meh, but I liked the animals in town too much to restart.  I just hope I can build bridges.  Or I may have to...do something drastic.

My normal Wii code is: 4582 7152 2025 0427. I don't know if that's necessary or not.

Also, I don't have a mic  :sadpanda: but I will emote at you and text stupid things.

You should see my town in WW. In order to get to Nook's or the Museum, I have to run all the way down to the bottom of the town, cross two bridges, then run back up to the top on the other side.

I missed Animal Crossing GCN and never picked up Animal Crossing DS (But I have a TopToy, so)

Is City Folk worth it for someone who's never crossed animals before?

Most definitely.  It includes all the previous features of older AC games, except for the island which was a pain in the neck, and NES Games, but with the advent of Virtual Console, we'll never see NES games in AC anymore.

But otherwise, yeah, it's a decent game.

I couldn't transfer my character over! For a really good reason!

See, when my girlfriend wanted to play AC:WW, I gave her my copy and I just downloaded a new one onto my flash cart. And obviously, I wasn't able to transfer my guy from my flash cart to my Wii. Oh well. Instead, I copied over my gf's character (just to have a large catalog from the get-go) and then created myself a new character to live in that town. I'll have to play as her avatar if I ever want to get something from the catalog, but oh well.

Anyway, here's my code - oh, and I have apples. (I hope you have cherries or pears, Duke, so we'll have almost everything right away!)

Brian of Oakern: 2664-5599-0630

Edit: I don't have Wii Speak either, but I will be using my USB keyboard during weekdays when the Wii is in my room.

You guys are lame.  The whole collecting furniture is my favorite part so I naturally did not transfer my character :3

Also, I don't have wiispeak yet.

McDohl and I just visited each other's fledgling towns! Catherine and Guild were cracking up, hearing McDohl's voice coming out of my TV.

...Nook's store closes at 10 pm now? And still doesn't open until 8 am?

 :MENDOZAAAAA:

Seriously, this sucks. I do most of my playing before I go to sleep or in the morning before school. They could have at least had him open at 7 now to make up for this.

I think I'll just keep it the way it is. The semester is over in a few weeks anyway, and when that happens I can just play whenever I want. Maybe I'll change it next semester if my schedule is significantly different.
