A reminder to everyone this weekend: Joan shows up Sunday mornings, and is usually gone by noon.  Check turnip prices and post 'em here, so we can all get the lowest price!  Then, monitor Nook's prices throughout the week, and if you get an above-average price, let everyone know, and we can raid your town for UBERBELLS.  Get a cabinet/dresser-type item for your house, as this lets you store up to 160 items, or 160 stacks of items.  And turnips stack A LOT. ::D: ::D: :profit: :profit: :profit: :profit:

Also, keep in mind that Nook buys turnips for different prices in the morning and the afternoon, so check your town's prices twice a day if you can.

Oh wow.  I didn't know that.

I found this out for myself very recently, and apparently it's been that way since at least AC:WW.

Yeah, and I HATED it back then. During my first playthrough, I was still in the military and I started work at 7:30 so I couldn't check the prices before going to work, and I couldn't take my lunch break until 1 pm. If I really wanted to check my prices, I would have to sneak away to our storage room with my DS. I'm not proud.

Well, I'm going to spend three hours tonight and something like six hours tomorrow fishing so I can get a bankroll for Sunday morning. Since I've been able to play as little as I have, I'll have to really work the stalk market if I ever want to get my second floor, let alone my lighthouse.

If I really wanted to check my prices, I would have to sneak away to our storage room with my DS. I'm not proud.

I used to put on my coat and play in the freezer at the restaurant.

Yesterday turnips were selling in my town for 178 and today it was 156 or something. Over the last two months playing WW, I only saw prices rise above 80 once. Also, on Gamefaqs there always seems to be several people a day advertising 300-500 bell selling prices, so I would check there.

Also, if you're playing tonight/tomorrow, want to open up your town so we can stop by? I'll bring apples.

This is how I have over 8 million bells sitting in the bank on my DS copy.

I'll be on after 1730 PST, gates open. If you have an extra ax for sale in your town, would you please bring it with you? The main ramp in town is choked with trees.

God, I wish I had an axe. Nook's has had a rod/shovel/net set every day I've been playing. I wonder if it only changes once a week or something? They replenish if anyone buys them, but they're in the same order every day and I really want a damn axe and slingshot.

...Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if the axe and/or slingshot couldn't be obtained until one of the future Nook upgrades. Didn't the Nook's Cranny in WW only have one item at a time but it kept changing? I thought it was too good to be true to start off with three at a time. (I have no way to confirm this, so if someone else has had a different stock, just correct me.)

I haven't seen either the slingshot or the ax yet, but I have gotten a watering can. From what I've read, the ax
becomes the silver ax when you buy it from Nook-N-Go
so that leads me to believe it's available at Nook's Cranny.

Pretty sure the (regular) axe and the slingshot aren't available until Nook 'n Go.

Clutch's town isn't showing up on my list. I'll double-check the friend code and try again.

However, EmaWii's town showed up... but I couldn't connect. It said "either he is already offline or he removed you from his friends list." Maybe you're just having connection problems?

Hrm. That's weird. My gate is definitely open. I dunno why the connection would be weird. It was working fine last time  :sadpanda:

Well, there WAS a problem - we just got disconnected. At least I still have all those apples, so I can give them to you again.

Also: I thought you were gonna get cherries or pears. Ah well, more foreign fruit to plant is more foreign fruit to plant! (Provided I can reconnect, go back to your town, and actually pick any.)

Oh, and sorry for the communication problem. I can use my keyboard when the Wii is in my room, but it's a weekend which means that the Wii is in the living room, far far away from where any USB keyboard will reach. I'm tempted to break down and get Wii Speak... but that would mean my voice would be drowned out by my girlfriend laughing at whoever's talking to me on Wii Speak, my noisy uncle belching, farting, eating, or just talking obnoxiously loud, my little brother, or my mom and/or her boyfriend.

Yeah, I came out worse. I lost 7000 bells worth of fish. :( I have to go out now, so save me some apples.
