Does being placed in a cup or shoe qualify as suffering?

Bear in mind that cats are perfectly willing to get into containers not specifically suited for holding cats.

In comparison to being chained down and beaten, no, it does not qualify.

Had a kitten who had a special tiny cardboard box that was his armoured vehicle. He'd knock it on top of himself and then run around like an invincible cardboard turtle, and if anything got too close his little paws would shoot out from underneath and attack it. Pretty cute.

one of my cats is DETERMINED to get outside, and the best way of stopping him is placing him in a cardboard box.
