Re: Pop Cultural References in Toy Story 2: There was also a Jurassic Park reference and some other reference that was so benign I have already forgotten what it was like an hour later. But damn, those movies really do look spectacular in 3-D, and I still love them both so much that picking a favorite would be impossible.
I think most of the dread regarding Toy Story 3 is an emotional memory of when it was originally announced during the Disney / Pixar split, where Disney immediately decided to make Toy Story 3 without Pixar's talent (in both senses of the word, presumably). Otherwise, what Brent said. Except that I am super excited for it because I am pretty much excited for every Pixar movie that doesn't have Cars in the title (and even Cars wasn't bad, once I finally saw it. As the only Pixar movie I never saw in the theater, I might still catch the sequel when it comes out.)
