...While the low tide sub-dimension was random and neat, I'm very disappointed that the finished boss battle wasn't closer to this. As the actual proton wrangling feels rather like fishing, anyway.
Random thoughts:- Immunity to Boson Darts' blast radius is probably the best thing since dancing toasters. You'll want it for when Marshmallow Minis
pull an Aliens on you in the office building. "They're in the vents! THEY'RE IN THE VENTS!" How can they?! They're dessert, man!
Turns out you really are supposed to stay there and
help Ray fend them off. If only because they'll get the literal drop on you in the hall and make a bad situation worse
.
- While busting the Grey Lady was very emotionally and spiritually satisfying for my inner, frightened child, I understand the narrative and artistic sense of putting her on the sidelines for a while.
- Max Von Sydow as Vigo. Oh, yes.
I get why they'd keep the Sorrow of Moldavia in the firehouse, but isn't it bothersome that he's reverted since the boys' victory in Ghostbusters II? I can only assume they hose him down with positively-charged slime from time to time...
- Possessors. Bane of my corporeal existence and the squad mechanic itself.
Gozer only knows how poor, lovable, huggable Ray shook that one off while he was alone.
- Being dead will make you fat. There are few exceptions.
- It seems that ghosts classified as deities in Tobin's Spirit Guide can't be trapped. A bonus point for "realism" in regards to the kooky, quixotic Ghostbusters brand ultimate reality, and a point off for making you, Ray, and Egon feel like metaphysical badasses.
I'm still not done with the single player, and going by the videos I've unlocked, I'm about halfway through! Maybe by then I'll have a clear understanding of what requires a spoiler tag and what does not! I kinda' doubt it!
EDIT: I guess I'll just unintentionally post that image again, then! You may think you fathom how awesome it is, but you are a land lubbin' fool.
