The Gamestop was supposed to get 12 packages from UPS today. 11 arrived.

Needless to say, I'm not getting mine until tomorrow at the earliest.

Going through the intro as we speak!

Thus far, I like it.  Hasn't stopped me from snarking on it nearly non-stop, but honestly I think that's more my inability to, y'know, not do that than anything else.

It's not how you cast spells, if that's what you're asking.

Well, you do have to kill
evil versions of party members
to get the normal ones in your party.  But no, no guns to the head.

kabbage edit: spoilers

I may well check it out, then.

On the one hand, Persona 3 was awesome and I want to play this. On the other hand, I kind of want to wait for the FES edition (assuming there is one) so I don't end up buying the same game twice. Hmmm.

Aww. One of my favorite parts of 3 was how dang intense casting spells was. You can't tell me literally SHOOTING the spells out of their heads wasn't at least a little bit awesome! All that buildup!

Pretty sure they said that wouldn't happen this time.

I need to actually play the copy of FES I bought months ago at some point.

Oh yeah. Stopped reading the thread back when everyone got way too far ahead.

Well at least it sounds like there's a somewhat decent reason that there aren't any Evokers, within the context of the story.
