Ohhh
Kanji
you bastard. I was literally l l <--that close to beating him and he gets a lucky critical attack in which killed Yukiko, followed by a lightning spell that killed Yosuke, and then a Fatal End that killed Chie.

I know. I first came to that world when I played Nocturne and the Matador first handed me my ass 4 hours in.

I don't recall P3FES giving me this many headaches so quickly, though.

Okay, took a couple of tries, but I finally managed to defeat him by sacrificing Yosuke towards the end. What can I say? He was effectively useless by that point, anyway. Since then, though, I've managed to get quite a few of my Social Links up, especially with the culture club girl.

Also, I think Wendee Lee is going to jump my dude's penis. Or sacrifice him. SMT is almost as bad as Silent Hill when it comes to hospitals, and the girl's a damn nurse.

ADDENDUM: my new guy's starting weapon is a folding chair. I will use him forever.

My recent playthrough saw me max all but 2 social links without a guide, and I got those two up to like 6 or 7. I think I ended up wasting too many days by trying to max my party members right away, instead of spreading the love around. Also I never hung out on Sundays. And I wasted a few non-rainy days by advancing the hermit link, who is of course just about the only non-nighttime link available during a rainy day. In fact I think it's just him and whichever culture club you join. RAIN!!!!!!! :khaaan:

I spent most of the rainy sessions going to the library and becoming MASTER OF ALL KNOWLEDGE.  I get the feeling I need to crank my diligence up a rank or I am going to completely botch getting a love relationship with Yukiko.

oh shit there's a library? I should check that out. For the most part I've been going to the little restaurant and getting the rainy day beef bucket. Supposedly, it raises a shitload of stats at once.

Library at the school gets you DOUBLE knowledge research on a rainy day.  During testing season you can study with friends in there for social points and knowledge points.

Rank 4 knowledge makes you KING TEST NERD which scores you major social points, free items (ace tests before summer = +5 all stats item from your kinda-sorta little sister, and money from Dojima.)

I just want to get one thing clear:
The game takes place in a small, backwater resort town. In this town, there is an otherworld, which twists and morphs around the twisted psyches of those unlucky enough to trespass within it. There's a hospital, too, where there's a nurse who represents the devil.
Yup.

also i think the only relationship that takes high stats is naoto, who takes maxed out knowledge and courage. you don't need to get 5 points in the others.

It's always been 3 of following 4 for me: knowledge, understanding, courage, and diligence.

(So, not expression.)

also on rainy days, the capsule machine outside the drugstore works.

You MIGHT get a good item for very little yen.

(But its really not worth it because for SOME REASON it takes you like 5 hours to turn the knob or something)

I admit: I cheated on the
Rise / Teddy
boss fight. I read an FAQ. I had heard beforehand about what sort of fight it'd be, and figured as such that there'd be too much dialog both before and in the middle I just... I just didn't want to go through it all multiple times. And you know what? I was right. I don't regret it.
