Really wish status effects worked on bosses, too. I never never have any reason to use them on regular enemies, and with abilities that boost element susceptibility, it doesn't feel too unbalanced if they just let you waste two turns boosting and using something like poison on a boss.

I thought status effects DID work on bosses, but with somewhere around 1/4 or 1/5 hit rate.

1/5 rates are a chump's game!!!!!!

At least before the battles were "Attack them with the right attacks and they fall down! Then Press TRIANGLE and the battle is over." Now they are "Attack them with the right attacks and they fall down! Then pray you can knock the others down before they stand up! Oh, and sometimes everyone just stands up. After a second of laying down. How wacky!"

Yeah, they changed the Knock-Down mechanics n P4, but honestly it's way better now. Here's the run-down:

-Defending will keep a character from getting Knocked-Down by their Weakness for one hit.
-Getting Knocked-Down does not lose you a turn.
-Attacking a Knocked-Down target does not automatically make them stand back up.
-In fact, attacking a Knocked-Down target's Weakness will inflict them with the Dizzy status, which DOES make them lose a turn.

ALSO: GRINDING IN PERSONA 4 MADE EASY: Do every dungeon twice.

It never occurred to me that you could skip defeating the big shadows.

I think after Void Quest (4th Dungeon) Things became a bit too easy. I just fused my way to much better personas and eventually got the sp halfing acessory the game just became kill x level up fuse next big bad persona.

It's S.Links that do it, because the level prerequisite for a persona is the base level. Not the S.Link adjusted new level.

Uhg, alright, I just got Naoto and dear lord is this game's combat getting tedious. Hit em with everything till you find a weakness, flip them over, and pile on. Every battle.

It's Evil Pokemon Dating Sim.

You should probably take a short break then. Go play progress quest for a week and detox and come back to it.

So I just realized today that I am basically playing this in real time now.

After like two years of on-again-off-again playing I only just finished Yukiko's Castle.

Alright well EVENTS HAVE TRANSPIRED and I sold my PS2 with the save card containing my P4 account. I'd sorta lost my wind on this thing anyways by that point, but I need CLOSURE.

I left off on the start of the Heaven dungeon. Anyone know a decent place I can watch the rest, or should I just look for a Let's Play without some joyless bederpiderp talking over everything?

Niku, did you get the ending, the true ending, or the really true ending?
I watched all four endings.  Killing Namatame, not fingering Adachi, beating Adachi and going home, and beating up Gas Station Clerk.  If there are more than that, then I missed them!  Also, I haven't finished Persona 3 and I hear Margaret follows up on the ending to that so I'm not sure if I want to go after her before picking P3 back up again.
The following was previously in spoilers:
I'm not sure if I want to go after her before picking P3 back up again.

I'm not sure anyone can go back to P3 after playing all of P4's nice little upgrades.
Does FEZ include all the little things that make your party members more likeable?

Well, there IS that PSP update that adds the improvements from P4 in the mix I could go to.  Con: I'd have to start over.  Pro: I could start over as a girl!

P3P goes at a much faster clip. I *think* that, aside from The Answer, it's got all the little story bits from FEZ, so it would get my vote. And, yeah, you can (and should) be the chica.

I have a theory connecting Persona 3 & 4.

You know, besides all the obvious stuff that already connects them.

I believe that
Teddy is actually a manifestation of the main character from P3
.

MCs are aligned with no arcana, I thought.  The character in question IS aligned with a particular arcana.
