Man, Starr and I were trying to rent a truck for the weekend to move some of her stuff out of storage. So we had the kind of usual surprise nonsense where they cancel your reservation without warning. But surprisingly they fixed it for us by moving the reservation to a new location and made sure everything would be kosher.
We were renting through Advantage and had the weirdest experience: every time I called the general customer service line, I actually got the exact same rep. And he actually did an amazing job to sort stuff out instead of just blowing us off! I don't know if they have advanced routing software that makes sure you always get the same guy, or if they just have the one rep for Toronto, but it was always the same guy. And he was fuckin' GOOD. Knew our names, had our confirmation numbers from the day before, called us back before everything was fixed just to apologize for not having an update yet, you name it. I called to leave a compliment for the guy and they put me through to the President's office. 0__o :D
I have literally never had phone service for anything that was this good from any company. It was like the mythical promised land of customer service that you know can exist in theory, but never actually come anywhere close to experiencing. Would buy from again A++ etc.
