It feels so good to unload an old inkjet printer - with no ink cartridges - for a non-zero amount of money. Hooray for Craigslist!

I am posting from a brand new computer which is actually capable of doing stuff, because someone decided to get me an EARLY CHRISTMAS SURPRISE.

wow this was a long way down

Last night, i almost started a fistfight with my brother, then biked home for a halfhour in heavy fog, and now after not quite enough sleep i am about to head off to my first day at work.

This might sound like a post for shit days (a really pointless whingey one) but i'm actually overwhelmingly positive about all of those events.

wow this was a long way down

Last night, I stopped my long lost evil twin brother from taking over the world without resorting to violence, then biked home for a halfhour through Silent Hill and lived to tell the tale, and now after proving I am manlier than insomnia I am about to head off to my first day as the rightful king of the Amazons.

This might sound like a post for shit days (a really awesome braggy one) but i'm actually overwhelmingly positive about all of those events.

Well, I can understand why.

Highlights of this week:

-continued excercising regularly
-got complimented repeatedly (like daily) on how good i am at my job (which is mindless but)
-got way ahead on my rent
-got way ahead on groceries
-cut fast food and junk food out of my diet
-saved a whole bunch of money
-cleaned my closet
-installed a smoke alarm
-got a car for my sister to replace her dying old junker so she can keep going to work
-set cash aside to finally get some clothes that might not make me look like a lumpy homeless guy

Basically I am a mediocre 27-year-old at best.

Bought a seven dollar set of precision screwdrivers and fixed my PS3 controller myself rather than spending fifty dollars on a new one.

(actually all that was wrong with it was that the home button was sticky, but still)

Well, in terms of purely material things, today i slept in and went to work a half-hour late, took a 45-minute lunch so i could hang out with my brother at our favorite local mexican joint, and then got back to work, where my boss took me aside to a conference room to let me know that i was so smart and good at my job he was giving me a raise.

As well, i've been feeling better and better (i mean, on average, it comes and goes) and today i feel like i've been reborn, like a fucking phoenix, and even things that usually set off suicidal ideation and depressive moods are just not doing anything at all.

What confused me was "hope." Now I would have gotten all that if you would have said "the prison of despair" or something.
To me, being set free from a prison of hope means you gave up on hope and dived into hopelessness.

That's what got me confused.

VAGUELY MANIC-DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS!!!

That is the "plus-side" to being a manic depressive. You feel awesome for your manic fits.
Well, here's hoping you're miraculously a positive individual from now on and not about to head into a crash.

i don't know if i'm manic-depressive, because the most i ever get when i'm "up" is like, "hey, i might actually be ok!" and not like "FASTER IS ALWAYS THE BETTER OPTION."

Like, when i say i'm feeling good, i mean i can actually stand the thought of being alive . that hasn't been the case for years.

Yikes dude.
I'm not sure I thought you had type 2 M-D, but for some reason I thought making you think about depressing things would be helpful.
Maybe I'm an asshole?
Cheers to you feeling better. Brain chemistry is weird, and if it's being weird in your favor then live it up.

Well i didn't mean to make you feel bad or anything, it's just true. I've only survived since about 2007 because i knew it would really hurt my brother and sister if i were gone. Now i feel like there are other reasons, which is really strange to me.
