Goddam paperwork fixed, should be closing the loan circa Thursday.  I'll be out of my infinite personal hell pit* by this time next week.

* No, not Friday's vagina.

Yeah, there is no escape from that. Even if you're wearing Mandalorian Armor.

For the first time today I came home and my apartment smelled like something else than paint and that foul "new appliance" odor. It smelled like the salami tomato sauce I whipped up for lunch.

It's even nicer than I would have thought.

I randomly met a guy who has the same bike as me (this is A Thing because my bike is pretty goddamn rare). I'd seen him before but we hadn't actually talked or anything. Not only does he live nearby and have group rides, it turns out his birthday is the day before mine!

Remember this? I saw his bike parked out in front of work today. Turns out that not only we both work for the same company, in the same building, but he's also friends with a project manager who sits twenty feet from my desk.

I guess Lottel is not the only one capable of attracting BIZARRE COINCIDENCES.

Now, in the movie, Mongrel will come home and find his woman in bed with a window open and a sees a figure running out of the alley. After some investigating, Mongrel confronts the man with the motorcycle on night after work and...

it was Mongrel all along! MONGREL WAS THE OTHER MAN.

Think Fight Club, but it's in Canada so there's no actual fighting.

I'd totally watch it.

[SCENE: Mongrel enters his igloo]

Mongrel: You're sleeping with my wife!

Starr: I'm sorry!

Evil Mongrel: I'm sorry.

Mongrel: No, I'm sorry.

Evil Mongrel: I'm sorry.

Starr: I'm sorry.

Mongrel: Sorry.

Starr: Sorry.

[Scene: Brentai enters his infinite personal hell pit]

Brentai: You're sleeping with Friday!

Friday: *Turns, mouth distends, sound of Bennings Thing screaming with the crazy hands in the snow*

Evil Brentai: oh god please help me

Brentai: So I'll just show myself out.

For $20 I got 4 sealed Booster Boxes of .hack//ENEMY.

Pondering if I should spend $5 and get a booster box of the fifth set, some more and get some deck boxes, or what.

And then wondering if I should try to eBay my money back at $1 a booster pack, or suprise, Dirty Santa gifts for everyone.

I've got a couple of booster boxes too and an old deck from when it came out. My idea was to learn how to play and then give cards to my friends so they could play too but then I looked up the rules. Fuck that.
That shit's hard to learn. So next convention I go to, I'm bringing them. See if I can do anything there. Good luck with your stuff.

I got a 5 on the AP Spanish Language exam, which is really difficult as far as AP exams go. With this and my previous AP scores, I've basically completed the Gen Ed requirements at my chosen university, putting me more than a year ahead for completing my degree.

I also took AP US Government & Politics and AP English Literature, but I don't have those scores yet. I expect they will be a 5 and a 3, respectively.

I can only heap terrible scorn on you for getting a 3 in English Literature.

Also: If you're going to take courses that you've AP'd out of the prerequisites for, consider taking the course anyway. Because 1, easy "A" and because 2, some universities give two shits about pedagogy and design their course sequences to the lecture to supplement and reinforce each other.

I took the exam without taking the course or doing anything to prepare, if that's any excuse.

That's a Brentai excuse for coming up short. That's an idiot's excuse.

Naturally, here I am a gigantic hypocrite.

It actually wouldn't matter if I got a 1. Someone else paid for the exam and I took the English classes at the University as part of a college prep program at my high school. I just signed up for the test for funsies.

Had a few hours so I wandered around the hospital. Wound up in, of all places, the neurology section. I had lapped around the area and was reading a sign when this really cute chick in shrubs comes up and asks what I'm looking for.
Some small talk and exchanging of medical histories later, I've got a number and we're going out for drinks and a late bite later.

Is it okay to picture you standing in front of the bathroom mirror, hacking at your hair with a big hunting knife and roaring the lyrics to "Sons of Odin" at the top of your lungs?
