The huntsman is a magical scout slaying device.

pl_frontier final, koth_lighthouse, cp_desertfortress and, um, billiards :3

I haven't actually played any KOTH maps. How do they work in TF2?

I assume we can download all of these off FPSBanana?  Because Shadow Moses has insanely slow downloads.

I guess. I could also make a zip or something available somewhere.

Just go with my idea.

Set a day. Leave one of the maps up all day. If whoever is setting this up feels adventurous, make it one map in the morning and one for the afternoon. Then, that evening we go back to the regular rotation.

As long we post the day up here first, I don't see anyone having much of a problem.

Log on at your leisure, download map. It's simple and there's no real setup work for Zara or anyone else. After a couple of days, everyone should have the map, making this should be a non-issue.

EDIT: Failing that, just go with Max's idea and make a pinned thread with links to the appropriate FPSbanana page for each map.

I already have Frontier, and I cannot WAIT to get some shark-train action going.  By the way, don't touch the front of the cart if it is moving.

KoTH works by giving each team separate timers to run down that only count down as long as you possess the single, central point.

The AXL server currently has a couple KOTH maps, including 'Garbage Day' (Yes, it plays on the GARBAGE DAY pun) which is sniper and spy HELL.

Zara, could you add Arena maps to the nominate?

Getting all the maps up on nominate is basically the only way any of this will matter anyway.

Or you could stop comedy nominating so that we can shoot for

1. plr_pipeline
2. cp_badlands
3. cp_steel
4. ctf_turbine
5. arena_sawmill
6. arena_lumberyard

instead of

1. tc_hydro
2. ctf_2fort
3. pl_hoodoo
4. cp_egypt
5. cp_steel
6. pl_badwater

Though granted a longer list or an automated scrambling list would be nicer overall.

Point me to the maps you want and I can host them in once place for you.

Alternately, FPSbanana is one place, so why you need it from somewhere else ... ?

Hey, hoodoo is a good map.  Why do people hate it so much?

Stalemates on the second stage due to the presence of even one engineer on Red.

Just move the second-floor access tunnel back enough that a sentry can't cover it + the cart.

As someone who frequently goes Engineer on Hoodoo to scorepump because lolrockfortress, I feel fairly confident in saying that the only reason it is so good is because people are fuckawful at coordination.

But far be it from me to suggest we remove allvoicechat, because boasting is important.
