Okay. I know I've played Frontier on ShadowMoses before, and I checked with Niku to see if we'd changed versions (no, we didn't) - so why did I get a map missing error (and no download, of course)?

Not sure.  Got kicked at the same time, so I just went and reloaded it from fpsbanana by googling "frontier tf2 fpsbanana" and it took me right there. 

No prob

Also pissed that I missed burning or kicking your butt like I did niku.

Niku the spy misses a backstab on me the demoman, and then falls in to a pit of my stickies...

when I get that on shadowmoses I open up tf2 properties and check the cache of the game and then restart and it generally works

Updates tend to break odd things so it's a good idea to validate after every new one

To clarify, the reason I quit when I did was I did something terrible, and I didn't want to tempt myself in to doing anything else awful like that again.

EDIT: Seriously, I'm feeling really terrible about giving pointers during arena while I'm on standby.

Much thanking to everyone that helped provide testing on 1fort_a6 tonight. Thanks to your valiant efforts, the map is ready to lunge forth into beta testing: the layout is finished, and all that remains is prettifyin' and optimatizin'.

If anything at all is shitty about the map, this guy desperately wants to know, so please: be as cruel as you dare.

Highlight of the night: 6 heavies shooting at the glass separating the intel rooms for 10+ minutes.

Later: Annoying Patito in tandem with Lady_Duke with sum double sentry axxion while Niku tries to shoot through the glass with a dispenser shoved up his ass.

I forgot something else.

This was during the HEAVY SHOOTING round, and I was playing Engineer or Medic.  Someone (I think Bongo) had previously gotten the intel out of the heavy room, leaving a sniper to guard it while it reset. I run up, snag the intel, and running like a bat out of hell, dodging and weaving, avoiding five arrows, getting hit by one, still going, and the entire time, I'm screaming, "C'MON, C'MON, C'MON"  I think some of this filtered through the voicechat, and for that, I'm sorry.  That was one hell of an adrenaline-pumping moment.
