Another thing about that game: Once we got to Offense on Badwater, this guy got autobalanced to our side, and went engineer.  We pushed RED back to between the first and second point before he went up to the hill on the left side of the exit of the first spawn, and built an admirable nest...if it had been on the other side of the damn map.  He then set up an entry and exit right next to each other and began running through the teleporter.

Now, it wouldn't have been half as unnerving as if, say, he was "obvious troll is obvious"-ing by peppering voice chat with "I'M HELPING.  HAY I NEED A PYRO TO SPYCHECK MY NEST".  None of that.  He was absolutely quiet, and so we let a RED spy go back there and start fucking with him.  No complaints, no nothing.  When we capped the third point, he died from that spy, and moved all his stuff up to outside the new spawn.  Again, level 3 sentry, level 3 dispenser, entry and exit all next to each other, with him running through the teleporter.

We lost that round.

That seems to be happening quite a bit lately, that on offense some retard will join the team, build a nest in front of the spawn, and spend the round hopping on his own teleporter.

I mean... do people think this will get them hats or something? :?:

A long while ago, spamming the use of your own teleporter would raise your score, and give you something to do while you would wait for someone, ANYONE to get to the flag on 2fort. IIRC, it only increases if other players use it now. Maybe they didn't get the memo?

Tonight I am in search of gentlemen of taste and distinction. Shpladoink, the developer of 1fort, has been feeling a little down in the intel room lately. Forting no longer excites him as once it did. Personally, I think it's because of playing on too many fightingamphibians servers and contracting terribleness poisoning from that highly toxic atmosphere, but now is not the time for blame.

Now is the time for healing! I intend to fill Shadow Moses to the brim with awesome and fun-loving people, and reach a critical mass of Good Times, in order to prevent this one poor man from losing his mojo.

That was a fun buncha rounds.  Nothing really stands out in my mind as to what was exceptionally fun about it, but seeing as the only decent (read: 24-man, no respawn tweaking) server that I've played on recently is a goddamned furry server.  It got up to 8v8.

That server isn't usually private; I just requested it be closed off for tonight. The admin appreciates vanillaish settings and good maps and he is hoping that it will be heavily trafficked. Favoritize it. (The server, incidentally, is 8.3.28.24:27015).

By far I've found that the best map in Propane enthusiast mode is Nucleus.  If only because of the poofing duels that happen any time there are pyros on the point.  Which I yet to lose at once!
