It was a good night tonight.
Do you know whyyyyyyyyy?

It wasn't just pay loads. Pay loads are fine every now and then. But I am not fond of them. Tonight we had a lot of cp, my personal favorite, a few koth, a pay load here and there, etc.

A nice variety. It made for a fun, interesting night.
More nights need to be like this.

I actually just did a whole bunch of Queen songs, this included. Just haven't had a chance to use them yet.

I have it in my micspam folder, but I've been too lazy to play lately.

Hey, just want to register my hate of "pre-scramble".  Kills team cohesion through demoralization just like your standard office re-org.  Also teams seem more stacked after such a move than before when we just tried to stack against pubbies and somehow still lost.

The scrambler is entirely random, which is good, but laughably easy to side-step, which is not so good.

If you're wondering, just spectate until the pre-scramble occurs at the end of pre-game mayhem. Whoop whoop.

But then we miss pregame mayhem ;___;

I still think the scrambler is a decently good widget, but I also hate the pregrame scramble. I mean, under normal circumstances, even Doomy doesn't swap teams like that act like Doom BEFORE THE FRIGGN' ROUND EVEN STARTS.

There you have it:  Demoralizing and ineffective.

I don't see how it's any more demoralizing than choosing a team at random at the beginning, plus if all the people on the boards spectate at the beginning, most of the pubbies who didn't spectate will be spread half and half into each team, preventing us all from team stacking, which is the entire point of it. So it's pretty effective and should remain.

Pretty much! If you're waiting to see who goes where so you can go on the best team and stack against fellow brontos, you are an honorless dog! Really it seems to have worked out alright, though tonight seemed to be particularly one sided.

The best team is made the best by the presence of fellow brontos, though.

Tonight I either did incredibly awesome (what) or incredibly horrible (that's more like it). It's my understanding, however, that the scrambler isn't just random. Supposed to take the average score of players on each team and even them out, isn't it?

Scrambler works like that, yes, but we were talking about the pregame scramble, which is working just fine and if you really don't want to go through with it you can just spectate.

I just deal with whatever team I'm on, for better or worse (I do prefer being on BLU for no actual reason). I don't really notice any problems, but then again I don't mind being on a sucky team because it isn't like I'm any great asset myself.

i like when doom instant spectate-switches to get back on the color team he was just on, regardless of who is actually still on that team.  :3

Anyway, my only problems with the scrambler are a.) scrambling on stage three of payload maps b.) ADMINS FUCKING SCRAMBLING MID-ROUND STOP CRYING INTO YOUR BEER ZARA

I don't mind pre-game scramble.  Sometimes I end up fighting with my homes, sometimes I fight against 'em.  It's all good.

Oh yeah, that is awful, it should be set to 3 rounds to avoid the payload scramble.

i dislike the WHOOPS POINTS ARE FUCKED UP SCRAMBLE, it tends to fuck up multistage maps.

setting it to vote only would fix that problem

I am, however, a fan of "You won the round in less than a minute have a scramble".  That's usually a necessary scramble.

The scrambler shouldn't go in the middle of multi-part maps (like payload), because then we're not playing Team Fortress 2 so much as Random People Thrown in Matching-Colored Outfits Fortress 2, and that isn't fun. You could set the scrambler to vote only, or you could use the custom maps that link all the parts together into one huge thing. I don't know how well the custom maps work, though, so vote-only is probably the safer option.
