There's a ceiling of 7 a week I heard...

I haven't gotten any drops since I woke up and collected my seven or so items this morning, so that sounds about right.

KOTH-FORGETNAMECOLDPLACE was a very good map.

So far I think Coldfront (CP and KOTH) and Gullywash are my favorite of the new maps.

I have gotten 9 items in the past two days, so I think whoever made up that 7 item ceiling is wrong. :nyoro~n:

I still haven't tried Coldfront or Mario BROs, but the rest are alright.

More specifically, Cashworks is pretty nightmarish with all its choke points (God in heaven, does that second point ever need an alternate path going to it), but gullywash is great and swiftwater's last-point-meat-grinder is at least different enough from badwater's last-point-meat-grinder to promote a different playstyle.

Swiftwater's last-point-meat-grinder is smaller than badwater's last-point-meat-grinder so it's even harder to break sentries.

Cashworks' second point can be taken as long you control the upper portion overlooking the train tracks.

But anyway, it's mostly a matter of getting to know the maps, except for swiftwater's last point, there really is no excuse for that.

The main problem with Cashworks' second point is that if you don't control the gateway that covers the first point, you can't get into the upper area. It's like the bit right after the 1st point on 3rd stage Gold Rush, only much worse, because the defenders spawn is a decent bit closer.

So far I got about 6 items today, so I don't know if there is a item limit per week. At least the estimate of 7 items a week is pretty thoroughly busted.

I guess it isn't seven, but Valve said there's some kind of limit to how often you get drops. I dunno, maybe it's broken (wouldn't surprise me).

Yeah, I didn't actually count my drops, but it was somewhere between seven and ten at the beginning of the week, and I've now gotten no drops for two days.  So the limit is somewhere in there.

I played for two hours the other day,

And I got right off the bat:

- Direct Hit
- The sword
- and a Sandvich.  The first two I've been squeaming for, for sometime..

That I stayed in second or first place on the scoreboard for my team by typing +attack and +forward into the console is a testament to how much tonight sucked.

Yeah, tonight was pretty horrible for me too. I started out in a mood to play demoman but then found out I wasn't aiming to play demoman.

Hell, even my soldier was pretty horrible.

I was amused at Dohl noticing how all the spies got replaced by soldiers on ShMo. It's really just because the three best Soldiers play EVERY NIGHT while other class heroes don't seem to play as often. Though since Nex has been around, I've seen more Medics. Generally I notice there tends to be an abundence of whatever is doing good. If some guy is rocking as a heavy, someone else ends up going heavy. If I start doing good as a scout, I slowly notice more scouts. Just seems to be how things go.
