I shoot friday all the time. Also I've never been taunt killed by a spy.

I was definitely turning the knife against her while she was playing Sniper last night. Extremely well, I might add. That's when vent became "Who is this mysterious stranger who keeps shooting my head?"

Why are people using vent when there is in-game voice chat? Why fragment the conversation?

...Said the person who had voice communication entirely disabled for the first few months of playing the game.

So we can talk about people behind their backs.

The real reason is, and this has come up before, there is a group of us that just hang out on a vent server all the time. We don't leave just because we're playing a game with voice communication, and we will use it to chat about things that aren't necessarily material to the game.

Haha, oh man. I remember that. You ducked down behind that little fence so Dog's sentry couldn't shoot you. Brilliant. I switched off Sniper pretty quick.

I got my knife-a-gun-spy achievement later on you. That was when like half your team was playing spy. I remember I ran to a corner and both you and another spy got bumped into. Then I switched to medic and just kept checking behind that shack with my ubersaw every five seconds. Geo got upset.

I managed to do ok that round, taking out a sentry here and there, but I am not a good spy. The fence move was good, and stealthy enough that I got to kill Dogstar and all his shit on that life too, but most of the time I'm just a stab-and-die spy with a healthy dose of missing the stab.

That corner thing was great because I seriously couldn't believe it. I was just staring, and then you started stabbing me.

but I am not a good spy.

Oh, I wouldn't say that. You're not as good as your scout or heavy from what I've seen, but you're certainly plenty dangerous. At least in the top 10%. When I knew that you, Geo, and either Det or Doom (I forget, hell, maybe it was both, but I think Doom was shooting arrows) were all playing spy on hoodoo 2, I was like OH GOD I AM JUST GOING TO PERMANENTLY FACE BACKWARDS

Well, there were a few times where you would just run back there and then head straight for me and uber saw me in the face like, when I was standing in a crowd of people and disguised with no pee bottle or pyro in sight. So it was getting a little annoying. That said, we did have way too many spies, but whatever, it's Shadow Moses.

Later that night I had a 36-6 Dead Ringer round on Pipeline, so I felt better. The final stage of Pipeline is a really good Dead Ringer map. Under the ramps can be a really good place to hide while you redisguise or heal up. Also with the full pool of water down there and most pyros on the ramps, your just a quick swan dive away from saving any failed Dead Ringer extinguishes. If that wasn't enough, the little ramps that lead up to the sniper nests make foolish archers, assassins, grenadiers or whoever else is in there, some what easy pickings.

Also TF2's voice chat is kind of terrible compared to a dedicated program like Ventrilo.  Or even not compared, really.

Yeah, I tend to talk on vent more because people can hear me on it with out having to put the microphone in my mouth. This facilitates a more enjoyable TF2 experience for me where I don't have to constantly be bending down all the time.

Trying to play TF2 on my new dell mini 9 = impossible

Trying to play TF2 on my dad's okayish rig = wireless keyboard can go to HELL.  The backup USB keyboard did okay for a time.  Unfamiliar setup did not make it easy.  Showing dad how to play on the other hand, awesome.

Ways To Make The Cesspit Of Boredom That Is Granary Fun

1) Never heal Bal.
xb.11.2) Latch onto Heavy Doom, Falcon Pawnch To Victory
9) Never heal Bal.

Kicking myself for not F5ing the moment when three KGBs came around the corner in retaliation.

::D: And lost.
