Man, those pubbies were the worst yet. Somebody invite me back when it's not so public. I just want to unwind, not rally the troops to win one for the home team or whatever.

I apologize for my horrible fortan tonight. I give no excuses.

Also towards the end of the night, I had a small glitch. I couldn't see people every now and then. People were floating weapons that shot me. Anyone else get that?

Heh.  No, I haven't seen that.

I apologize for telling you how to play.  I didn't want to sound like I was being a back seat driver, but I'm sure that's how I came off as.

Not a problem Mr. Dohl. I'm a shitty player anyway and was busy ogling the floating guns. Feel free to scream "Lottel! There are people behind you. Shoot them. Shooooot theeeem!" I deserve it for not shooting people.

I was getting minor glitches throughout the night. Invisible sawblades on Sawmill, ragdolls falling through the ground on Nucleus....

I had a grand old time, but when Steel rolled around I was somewhat embarrassed to have invited a friend on the night when the teams were stacked as high as they've ever been.

Used to get a similar bug, except there were no weapons. Recording fixed it.

Just open the console, type "record x" and hit enter. Then immediately type "stop" and hit enter. This makes a very tiny file, called x, and for some reason doing this refreshes the models you see?

Eventually I keybound it to F12 or something. I think that'd be "bind "F12" "record x;stop" but I don't remember

Bongo, to be fair the teams were even more stacked yesterday and we were getting rolled.

Not to mention I don't actually think that it was all of us on one team. I believe the distribution of players from WFE was more or less even.

Apparently, being the only Medic on a team full of pubbies (plus patito and Bleck and somebody else I forgot but he was super important too (you guys are all heroes)) brings out my latent FPS superpowers. Or at least my latent "able to kill things with melee attacks" powers.

I honestly felt like we had a chance, there. Unless you assholes were holding back, in which case screw you, old man. We don't need your pity. (This is also why I wasn't too broken up about the overtime bug when Team Public was on BLU. You let us have that. It doesn't count.)

The Soldier Who Would Not Shoot At The Pyro Strafing Around My Sentry reminds me why No Pubbies Night is a meritorious suggestion.

Alright. I'm done with TF2 until Saturday.
I'll have brand new actual internet so I shall no longer be the Man With a Thousand Ping.

Nah, it's cool. All you did was make me realize I should stop trying to learn a new class when I am up against a trio of fearsome clan members.

best part of the night was when i realized that if i played a song from mulan, all the mulan-named clan members would become distracted and we would win.

and it worked.

right up until the song ended and the tide turned and we lost.

Another good part was when we were losing because we were too busy talking about dinosaurs and Jurassic Park to play for real.

I will freely admit that at one point I was so drunk that I was getting motion sick and would just stand in one place for a while firing my gun off... as a scout.
