Yeah, if I start getting frustrated or keep hitting a wall with one class, I just switch to another class.  Do this long enough and eventually you are a credible threat/credit with every class!

Kayin, I DON'T mean to go after you!  It's just that soldier and heavy backs are the most delicious and ripe for carving! :wuv:

My priority is usually to pick a class that no one's using. I've made a habit of hitting the class menu literally everytime I die to see if my team has holes in it. (As a result, I get a little glee when I see there's at least one of everything because that often means I can pick one of the classes I'm not super good at without feeling bad about it... at least until I notice the medic is frikkin' incompetent.)

For some reason that method usually leaves me with medic or heavy. Works for me! ::D:

I'd like to think I'm at least an OK threat with my bow  :nyoro~n:

There are two kinds of snipers: those one can afford to take chances with, and those who are ignored at one's own peril. From what I've seen you're definitely the latter.

Yeah, I always look at the class menu. Doesn't mean that I ALWAYS switch to a class we're missing (like, if we have no Snipers or Spies, I probably don't care because when I switch to those classes, it's like subtracting a player slot rather than adding one, also some classes are situationally not needed), but if there's something glaringly obvious (like no medics), I'll usually change (even though I'm a terrible medic too... which is kind of funny considering I played nothing but medic when I first got the game).

Yeah, usually, I find myself gravitating toward classes that have no presence on the team.  Or, more recently, spy.  For some reason, that class has been jelling really well with me.

I try to switch, but I am a terrible Sniper. It's easier for me to be something else with somewhat long range capabilities and leave the "empty Sniper spot for someone else to fill.
I switch to what's needed more often on pubbie servers because on the pubbie servers, it actually matters what class I am more than on Shadow Moses. I switch to what is needed and the improvement in the team's morale and function is instantly seen. It doesn't hurt that on several of the pubbie servers I am actually one of the better players.  That's not the case with you guys.
Not that I mind! No no no! You guys are a blast to play with no matter what side I am on. It's harder by far, but you guys are more intelligent and generally happier than people on other servers. Even though you guys bitch about things, you still make playing the game fun for me.  I just tend to stick with Pyro or another class I feel I am somewhat competent as unless I really should switch. You guys are better at  _____ class than me, so I'll let you do your thing while I hang around and try to be useful.

I don't know why you guys get upset. It's a fun game. It's even fun to get killed while playing with you guys.
You're all crazy for getting upset at anything TF2 related.

I've been trying to adapt more to the team's needs lately. I'll start as a spy or pyro and then change classes depending on where our weaknesses are. This seems to mean playing a medic more often than not. If we don't need anything specific, I'll usually stay as pyro/spy because those are my favorite classes.

Also, I usually refuse to play engineer because I don't like to sit around and watch the grasssentries grow.

Part of the reason I play soldier is because it's very rare for another soldier NOT to be useful.

The other bit of the reason is I am a terrible person who finds intense joy firing rockets at things, while finding other, 'fun' things, like sniping people or stabbing them in the back of hitting them with a sword to be BORING. :(

And if I get frustrated by someone, my response is less "pick a new class". No, instead I demand that I throw more rockets at them and do so more accurately! Generally I find if I pick another class, I am doing my team a disservice (though I think I do okay as a scout sometimes).

I am tempted to play medic more. It worked well, coupled wit Patito. Shadow Moses seems to lack people willing to play medics and it's one class where I feel that, even if I do it badly, I will still pull my weight.

Oops. Red is in 4, Blu is in 3.

I just did Red tonight, but..

I am updating my statement to always join BLU first at first server/round contact.

Tonight was fun, but it seemed to go by quickly and with not enough people. You guys are always my favorite, though.

If I could I would basically play Engineer and never stop but there is always at least one person going HNNGGGH WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE ENGINEERS so then I start taking heads or something.

Bonking a heavy in the head from DOWNTOWN? FUN!

That's weird, Engineers have been pretty extinct since the War update. I see them as Snipers: 2's the limit. Unless you're actually coordinating a Doomsday Plan, like when me, Niku and Smiler Huntsman Rush.

I think I am going to be like everyone else and just ignore when people whine about changing classes. Unless I believe that I need to switch, I won't.

Also a team of coordinated Engineers would be unstoppable.

In nucleus we had a team of uncoordinated pyros. Good times.

Also, the micspam is a notch above outside servers.

I'm Ouendan, by the way.
