It is new time for the occasional Watchmen update!

Incoming slow motion:
Four new clips straight from the movie.

Looks pretty good:
Black Freighter Trailer

I'm not entirely sure about the slow motion, but the scene it was most obvious was meant to be overdramatic anyway.

Have I mentioned before that Jackie Haley sounds like he's doing his worst impression of Christopher Nolan doing his worst impression of Kevin Conroy?

I guess with not including the book excerpts, and probably not all the flashbacks they need to sum things up in small scenes like that. I'm not crazy about dollar bill's death that was supposed to be pretty funny, being just brushed off in a scene that should be dramatic.

When Bruce Timm is in town this April I am tempted to punch him and then hug him for the DCAU ruining all other media for me.  Rorschach's actor looks great (well, terrible, but you know what I mean), but why do they not just dub in Jeffrey Combs doing the Question voice oh god?

G4 special running again in thirty minutes.

Movie-Box lists every clip released so far, including many on Yahoo not heavily publicized.

:slow:

Anyway, on-topic: Nrama reviewer likes movie, reveals new ending: instead of Giant Space Squid,
Ozy frames Dr. Manhattan for nuking NYC
.

That's...actually a pretty great idea.

Yeah I'd like to complain but that's just plain better.

Though the necessary changes to the overall plot may make the thing blindingly obvious.  One of the good things about the original plot was you have absolutely no idea
why the hell he's kidnapping artists and writers.
Blindingly obvious in a book requires less evidence than blindingly obvious in a movie.

That may be true, but I have a really, really hard time believing that given any cinema since around when I was born.

Of course, some screenwriters still shoot too low.

I've seen a few more reviews.  Consensus seems to be that people who have already read it think it's a great adaptation, while people who haven't are confused and unimpressed.
