I figured that while I was in Atlanta, having settled my court case and expired driver's license, I'd stay the rest of the weekend with my ladyfriend.

She wanted to go tubing down the Chattahoochee River. So we did.

At one point a boy of perhaps nine or ten stomped by us, dragging his raft behind him in the knee-deep water near the river's edge, shouting "BLAAAAARRRRRGG! I AM ANGRY!!"

No, really. He went "BLAAAAARRRRRGG!"

Leading to, "Did that kid just ragequit the entire river?"

"Blarg" Is an acceptable exclamation in the reals. It is also a substitute for "blag" when I'm incredibly bored with what I'm saying but the accuracy doesn't matter.

I saw a fat guy jogging. The sweat patterns on the front of his shirt looked almost exactly like the Misfits skullface logo (no, it was not actually a Misfits shirt. It was one of those cheap mottled grey t-shirts).

Another round of "Mongrel can't find [ubiquitous object] anywhere". Today's special item is: Crappy coconut-fibre doormats!

Technically this is a lie. I did find one at a hardware store. But it was $100!   :fuckyou:

Also, every game store in town is mysteriously closed today, with no explanation or notes posted to say why. WTF?

Saw an old late 60's/early 70's-era proto-Land Shark (a proper Land Shark is one of those monsters from the late 70's early 80's and is also driven by an 80-year old grandma who can't see over the steering wheel). It was pearly white and had a license plate that read "Dunedain".

Now, being right downtown, all sides of my building are fairly well-traffic-ed, but some sides are a little less so. Yesterday morning, I saw a series of objects seen strewn all over the path and bushes next to the path:

- A pair of women's pink heeled shoes, fair torn to shreds
- A pink towel, dirty and flung in a corner
- Quite a few chunks of (possibly fake?) long black hair
- A smashed GPS device

And, uh.... thereby hangs a tale.

During an eyebrow waggling contest with my uncle, aunt, and cousin we found out my cousin can't frown.

I'm having difficulty imagining what that would look like.

Her eyebrows lowered very slightly. If we weren't focused on her eyebrows for the contest, it wouldn't be noticeable. No wrinkling of the forehead, the eyebrows don't get closer together nor do they change their angle. They just... slip down her face a millimeter.

She tried to compensate by tilting her head forward. It was completely bizarre.

I wasn't aware that was possible.

And then, without warning, Lottel was substituted for the groom.

By the bride. And several bridesmaids. And most of the guests.

By the bride. And the bridesmaids. And the bride's parents.

And the groom.
