Medigun replacement: The Necromancer: Heals very slowly. Does not overheal. The person you're healing cannot die as long as you are healing them; however, if their HP is below 0, they get a debuff to power and speed proportional to its absolute value. Ubercharge: something.

Medigun replacement: The Berserker: Does not heal, but stops overheal decay. The person you're healing gets a buff to damage, crits, and speed proportional to their own HP. The Medic's speed is boosted to match that of their ward. At full overheal, it's somewhere between a Kritzkrieg and Buff Banner effect. Ubercharge: instantly bring target and self to maximum overheal.

Those can be combined somehow.

Heavy melee: Gilded Gloves of Grabbing. Alt-fire grabs a enemy or friend, and then regular file uses him as a flail and alt-fire throws him with great force.

Kukri replacement: Javelin + Karate, which needs a punny name. It's a lightweight spear. Regular fire is a slow melee attack with a long range. It can hit two enemies at once if one's right behind the other. Possibly, like the Eyelander, it won't get random crits. Alt-fire throws it across the map. You have to retrieve it where it lands or take an enemy's or wait ten (fifteen?) seconds or visit a resupply cabinet to get a new one. While you don't have it equipped, your melee attacks become karate chops, which are normal speed and range, but only do half damage.

Backburner upgrade: enemies set on fire with the backburner set allies on fire if they come into contact. The secondary fire only lasts half as long as regular fire and is not "contagious" in this way. (Or, if it is, each subsequent generation only has half the duration.)

I think it would be pretty simple: A melee-slot 'ranged' weapon. Basically, you can hit people with it in your hand for a melee attack that's worse than usual. Alt-fire throws it in a wide, round arc that does pretty good damage to anyone it hits (maybe damage isn't super-great, but it stuns on random crits?). Being a boomerang, it comes back to you (and since you'll move around it may have 'soft' homing back to you), but you can miss the catch. If you miss the catch (and while you're throwing) you are literally defenseless (unless you switch to another weapon). You can pick up a missed boomerang off the ground, get more from ammo lockers (but not ammo boxes) and MAYBE you have a regen meter like a baseball or jarate.

Also, the scout needs some kind of attack that leaves little birdies chirping around people's heads, cartoon-style.

Engineer's Friend

Pyro melee. An axe with a wrench attached to the back. Doesn't ever crit, but can repair engineer buildings and knock sappers out at half speed.

Old Faithful

This flamethrower belches smoke like nobody's business, throwing it in a great spray around the Pyro's flame. The smoke hangs around for a while, blocks sight and does low damage. Alt-fire belches a big cloud of smoke.

I had a dream last night that the Sniper was equipped with the Huntsman, the Boomerang in place of the SMG/Razorback/Jarate, and the Feather in place of the knife. The feather gave a 50% faster flight time and reload on arrows and 20% faster movement speed. Alt fire on the rang was your melee attack, which didn't hit quite as hard as the knife. Primary fire threw it for a short duration stun.

The Peace Engineer/Piece Maker


  • Replaces the Pistol
  • Only six shots loaded (more than enough to...) and 18 shots in reserve
  • same damage as pistol, fires half as fast or maybe slower still (pistol fires pretty damn fast) and reloads much slower
  • opponents hit by the peace engineer cannot fire their weapons for 0.5 seconds
  • Makes that spaghetti western ricochet noise when it hits something

The idea is for Engineers to fire at people that are trying to break things or chase them, preventing them from firing enough to succeed in breaking the sentry or killing the fleeing engineer.

I dreamed tf2 had updated with all the community crap
most weapons had like +2 ammo or +10% reload speed

I don't really understand why my idea for a much different pistol that ministuns people when you shoot them with it is being compared to "+10% this -2 that" style weapon ideas... but could you stop it.

If that's not was Zara was doing... then what was he trying to say?
