Well, I did write the paper five years ago and I doubt I even proof-read it at the time and my "case study" was actually just an effort to get out of doing any real research but thanks for noticing!  :wuv:

Incidentally, the email is my spam address, though I honestly never noticed I fucked it up.

Doom reminds us why we like having him around.

And Inkspaught totally stole my idea of doing a college thesis on the internet.

I always wonder how many people there are like inkspaught. I really just can't imagine coming to a place like this for so long and not posting.

As a lurker-type myself, I somewhat understand. I'm amazed I've made this many posts over the years. I'm not sure if it's shyness or just a lack of things to say, but I read a lot more than I talk. Post. Whatever.

...five years and nothing is a little extreme, though.

It's like we're a troupe of actors in a play, and there's a massive audience wearing masks with their names written on it. Occasionally a member of the audience jumps on stage and takes off his/her mask, at which point we either hire him on the spot or stuff him in a cannon and shoot him out of a window.

Still mostly true!

The trick is to be okay with either outcome.

Yeah, of course. If we shoot you out the window you can still come back and spectate some more if you want. It's not like you're any worse off than before, as long as your ego survives the landing. Which it should, I mean come on.

"haha, guys, this thing I spent time on and then posted in a public forum... I totally didn't care about it.  Ha ha.  Sure got you!"

Maybe you could post some in Real World, and then pull some of the other bullshit classics, like pretending your retarded post was supposed to be sarcastic, but text is hard.

No offense, but everything about you should embarrass you. Your behavior, appearance, and family line are all reprehensible. No offense.

Somebody wrote a halfassed paper about a forum that I founded that they lurk on, that I lurk on. If I cared enough to unnest that bullshit I'd write a halfassed paper about it.

Quasi-Recusive Interactions in Self Fellating Online Communication Modes or some such fuckassery. And here I'm wasting my time working for a living when I probably could have got a grant for this shit.

I never meant to imply that it was good, only that is existed and was related to this place.

THAT SAID: point(s) taken. Consider me duly embarrassed by my actions, parentage, et al. I'll shut about it now and will harder next time.

I don't know, it was enough to make Sharkey post something.

That in and of itself is, er... I don't know?

Getting Sharkey to post is easy, you just make the community the topic of conversation and he'll eventually pop up to remind you that he started it.

The first rule of Shark Club is you always talk about Shark Club.

Oh god damn it is every domain ending with club unavailable?

I'm just curious if Ink will ever post again, or whether we'll have to wait another 3 years.
